Me to, they've played some really enjoyable football in the qualifiers so far. Dzeko, Ibisevic, Muslimovic, Salihovic etc. can break down any defence. f*** off, there isn't a player called Muslimovic, whats he supposed to be a Russian Muslim? Why Russian when he is Bosnian? He's actually Swedish and called Zlatan too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zlatan_Muslimovi%C4%87 Also, Ibrahimovic in English would be something like "Abrahamson" so there doesn't seem to be any real religious attachment to their names... Muslimovic was absolutely mint on CM 99/00. I assumed he didn't really exist though, a bit like Mads Jorgensen, Kennedy Bakircioglu, Tonton Zola Moukoko and Adrian Mihalcea. Bakircioglu plays for Ajax doesn't he? this him...http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:QXEe0ODHsYsP7M:http://www.toonarama.co.uk/piotr2/538BarrowcloughS.gif Kennedy plays for Ajax, he's been pretty successfull throughout his career. And for Ton-Ton Zola Moukoko, he's in the Swedish second division. Was very promising in his youth but then he went to Derby. Things didn't work out there and he never made it... Second that. Waste of time. Sweden were so incredibly poor, but what an important win. I'm going to Denmark for the game on the 10th of October. Should be a very good game with so much at stake..

Portugal are messing things up bigtime. Hungary, Sweden and Denmark all in better position to qualify. And they've already played Sweden at home and away (0-0, 0-0) aswell as Denmark (2-3, 1-1). Unless we go down to Denmark and they win all their games they're out. Argentina need to get rid of Maradona asap. I think their squad is better than Brazils' atm. Diego is doing as bad as Queiroz.
-
Out of intrest, how did Hungary look, much of a chance against Portugal on Wednesday? Don't think so. They were very poor. Didn't pose much of an attacking threat except for the penalty, which was a terrible decision. Although, Portugal struggled against Albania, drew twice with Sweden (we should have won at home if it wasn't for Elmander not being a goalscorer), lost at home to Denmark and now only managing a draw away. Queiroz is clueless.

Zlatans goal today was one of the most mental moments of my life. Practically out of the WC if we draw. Additional time is up. Elm launches it, Zlatans poor touch, and then it's just a massive blackout. That didn't happen. Disgraceful from Portugal though, probably Queiroz last appointment..couple of failures for him now

Shearer and Dowie at the game

There is a Swedish guy who writes for the same fan page that I do, who was at the CP game. He talked to Taylor after the game and he said he was definately staying. Not that anyone will understand much of this but anyway here's the article and some pics: http://www.svenskafans.com/england/newcastle/artikel.asp?id=311564

Never seen Liverpool play? Look out for the gay looking striker. As for not wanting Defoe, people probably said it when we had Shearer-Owen up front, hardly controversial. Would I want Defoe now? No......we got Shola-goals. Of course Torres is the best there is alongside Eto'o imo, but Defoe on this form just scores for fun. Love the way he just smashes them in. Playing wise I can see why people didn't want him when we got rid of Bellamy, doesn't offer much in the build up play.
-
For the first goal?. That was superb and his goals against Hull were great finishes too..
-
Defoe must be the best finisher in the league. Unbelievable strikes lately.
-
Would be the biggest blow so far. For christ sake we CAN'T AFFORD to lose him. One of the very, very few players I actually care about.
-
Doesn't seem unusual. Even I've done that. I think you mean Big Mac mate. I think I do. Got ahead of myself there
-
Shola once went to Burger King and asked for a Big Mac. He got one.

If these rumours about players who "would have signed for Shearer" are true I think we'll be signing good players when/if he comes in anyway. Not too bothered about missing out on Campbell..
-
This mustn't happen.
-
I think Krul (yes I've only seen him against Palermo and yesterday) would win us more points than Harper. Harper doesn't do errors that costs us points, but he's definately not a keeper that makes those kind of matchwinning saves.
-
I think I need to get a hold of some kind of medication to calm myself down until this is official.
-
Not a denial... Something's happening...
-
Me too. Please give us some good news this time. Not sure I can take another negative outcome of a rumour.

West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll

In the U21 squad for next weeks game. Good on him. From nufc.com -
Carver wouldn't have to come back as assistant. Shearer seemed to like working with Dowie and he in his turn looked like a very good complement to Shearer. I think Shearer has quite a few people lined up for his potential backroom staff..

Appointment? Managerial? Don't know tbh but I think he meant the owners. They were talking about the owner situation and that he was tired of hearing "it was very, very close". Said he was told by Llambias the other day that they were hopeful of an "appointment" by the end of the week, and if it doesn't happen soon they'll turn to "other buyers that aren't that far down the line". Sounds like there is someone leading the chase at least..

Mick Lowes saying that Llambias told him "they're hopeful of an appointment by the end of this week". How many different messages can you recieve in 24hrs?
