Huh? Surely if he doesn't guarantee anything, then he's still not really saying whether he'd like to stay or leave? I honestly don't think he's made his mind up either way himself. Can you name me a goalkeeper that isn't a GOOD SHOT STOPPER? Gomes/Schwarzer. What? Crumpy is right though. Stopping shots is the easiest part of keeping, especially for a young lad with such a stringy frame. Mentioning Gomez is an interesting one. Especially after one of his more recent errors Redknapp was bigging him up, saying he's a fantastic shot stopper and they should keep faith etc. Shot stopping is nothing if you can't mentally keep up. You can find a lot of average or worse 'keepers who can pull of 'wondersaves'.

It was such a beautiful sight I genuinely couldn't stop smiling. Don't think he put much of a foot wrong at all today. Good hold up play, good link up, worked his socks off up there.

Certainly not one of his better days.

Liked him. For a substitute who's just come back from a leg break and playing his first game in the PL this season. Pretty impressive, wasn't expecting to see much of him or Ameobi Lite when they came on, but they both made a bit of an impression. Can't be bad.

Maybe there's been a bit of random big amounts being thrown on it by a few people, in hope, or as a result of random mutterings.

Not going to judge Shearer on his stint with us. How pissed off were we when we discovered Hughton was leading us into our Championship campaign, after his attempts in our relegation season? Can't see him getting into management properly, not through lack of ability, but his own ideals as to the sort of job he wants.
