Stoke City vs. Newcastle United - 28/11/12 @ 7.45pm (No TV)
Crumpy Gunt replied to bowlingcrofty's topic in Football
I'm fearful for this one. Hopefully Colo will steady the sinking ship (he himself holed under the waterline with his stupidity) I'd go a definite 4-5-1 and shore things up. Start out by looking not to lose. The run of defeats have to stop. -
It very much looks like the players themselves have lost patience with the manager. I hope this isn't the case but the sum total of our starting 11 yesterday should have done a shitload better than they did. We could (and probably did deserve) to have lost by 5 or 6 yesterday off the statistacally (pre KO) 2nd worst team in the division. Our last 3 or 4 games have got worse and worse. Not a good sign. Be interesting to see what happens at Stoke.

It's getting more and more difficult to think of a reasoned argument to keep him at the Club. Appaling tactics and performances the last three Premiership games. Stoke to come. HOW MANY TIMES IS HE GOING TO PLAY BA AND CISSE BEFORE THE PENNY DROPS? In general the tactics are schoolboy. Playing a system that just doesnt suit the players available. How many fucking high balls into the box are we going to play before the 98% failure rate makes him thing 'oh, hang on....?' And Krul is becoming a liabilty. Is Elliot fit?

Pulled, not torn hamstring. The lesser of two evils.

while I agree with that in principle why in gods name did they announce it to every man and his dog shouting it to whomever cared to listen Because they'd just been well and truly humped live on TV with two players sent off. Fergie does it as well but never in a an 'open' a manner as Chelsea tried it. Stinks of bad loser-itis. Clattenburg will not se Chelsea on his rota for a long while yet. The FA should have him there next week but wont have the bottle.
-
Even though they won the CL last season the semi and final where turgid stuff to watch as Chelsea just strangled the play out of the opposition.
-
When's the last time they beat a team 11 v 11?
-
Shame our one investment isn't as good as the player we let leave. Awful yet again. Genuine decent players plying their trade alongside Championship quality dross.

My mate went over on the Shields ferry on the Wenesday night. Travelled down by coach on the Thursday morning. Unfortunately for him he had to sell his match tickets as no provision had been made to get disabled supporters from the Centre of Bruge to the ground which most folk reckon was 3 miles away and a good hours walk. Fucking disgraceful no provision was made. Apparently he couldn't get a taxi and there was no public transport to the ground. He was well pissed off.

Mid table ? Nowhere near where we finished last season. Best of the rest. No Europe (not a bad thing for a Club with a squad as weak as ours)
-
Rearing its ugly head this season. Players getting pathetic and avoidable red cards only driving the stake home. If money isn't spent next window then I think were we are now is our level. Top of the bottom half.
-
He's turned into a complete liability. Time to shift him on. Shit stupid bookings. Sent off and cost us almost certain victory v the Scum. His distribution is also poor at best. And this is why I doubt very much that a top Club would consider buying him.

Club Brugge vs Newcastle United - 08/11/12 @ 6pm GMT (Live on ESPN)

Two Places Available For Brugge, With Tickets Depart Wednesday 8am for coach/eurostar. 2 Nights hotel in Bruge. Match ticktets included. £160. ANYONE INTERESTED DROP ME A TEXT. Got no net at moment. -
SAFC were terrible. Did they put a single shot on target? I remember a Mclean cross which Krul dealt with with ease and thats it - please feel free to add any chances on they had on target. The ref was woeful and seemed pretty determined to make sure he got noticed. An opportunity to seriously embarrass the scruffs went begging.

Anyone else concerned they look no nearer to looking like a decent partnership up to now? Will they ever? I doubt they will. Both excellent players without a doubt. But the problem as I see it is they don't look likley to complement each other. They both chase the same ball in the box, one doesn't go near post while the other far ... They scored plenty last season without getting in each others way. Ba was excellent when Cisse wasn't here and vice versa when Ba played out left. I think we'd do well with either playing up top alone and the other on the bench. I'd give it to Ba at the moment. Just a thought...

Simpson seems to be the current whipping boy. Was it worth swapping half of the defence v Man U to accomodate him on the bench. Fergie looks like he's going to be a decent player but to play/start his first Premiership game V Man U and moving Santon to right back looked a foolish move before a ball was kicked. Especially as Willo and Perch looked weak. Simpson isn't a world beater but he'd have been a better option than the choice Pardew made. Of course he might not have been fully fit and on the bench in case a 'last resort' scenario arose.

I bet everyone wishes they had 156 loyalty points like me! Gonna be shit for the lads who travel up and down the road week in, week out. Missing out to some cunt who has rolled out for his first away game ever and gets a ticket because they go via Thomas Cook. About time NUFC gave similar allocations and charged similar prices to those who take the piss out of us - Chelsea etc £50+ per ticket.

Everton vs Newcastle United - 17/09/12 @ 8pm (Live on Sky)
Crumpy Gunt replied to Beren's topic in Football
I can only see a howking here. Everton have come out the blocks flying compared t their usual slow start. Same as last season and a 3 goal defeat. 3-0/4-1. Team just don't seem to be up for it - so far. -
