Bit of a digression, but I feel top athletes from Brazilians that often comes from a very poor background are more susceptible to right wing ideology since they themselves in many cases are a living example of "pulling yourself up by the boot straps" (on the surface at least) and think if they can do it, everyone can. I don't think many of them reflect very much on it, so even if Joelinton & Bruno did support him it's nothing I would hold against them further than disagreeing with them compared to people I know are more politically interested/engaged who supports him.

I think it's fair to say and focus on the fact that Spurs were absolutely abysmal in the opening 20 minutes. Joelinton should never have been allowed to stroll through their defence for the first. Romero should have gotten his head on the ball before Joelinton got to it for the second. Murphy should have been closed down faster for the third. If we had dominated the game but Spurs had defended those goals and we ended up winning 3-1 I think the focus would have been more on how good we were.

If the Everton team works and shithouses as hard, and the crowd is as much behind their team as last time we met them at Goodison, it'll be a really frustrating and tough game. Hopefully we can get another early goal to kill the game dead before it has properly started.
