Ironically he strikes me as a typical Everton signing back when they signed any player for £40m. Skipping training 2 days in a row to force a move and acts like a prick towards Everton fans when club is facing relegation doesn't exactly fill me with hope that he comes here either.

Find it weird with his shooting/finishing the last few games. He was so cool in front of goal before, and had a cracking long shot in him, scoring some absolute screamers when he was out on loan. Don't mind him getting more chances this season. If it starts to click again in the final third, with a bit more composure on the ball, he'll be a great player to have in the squad not only this season but for years to come.

Might as well, with the current contract expiring some time in 2045.

He got subbed fairly early last game. Wilson was fully expected to start.

We seem to have had the most fret in the beginning of our recent games, so don't think setting up more attacking would necessarily help. Don't see the need to change things unless we stop getting the same chances as we've had so far this year. Just need to keep faith in the players that they will start converting the chances.

He was very sought after on here from January up until his transfer to Villa was confirmed. Don't think it comes as a surprise to many on here that he is a quality player. Out of all the recurring links to date (Lingard, Carlos, Maddison, Kamara at the top of my head) for players we didn't or haven't ended up signing, this is the one I really feel we've missed out on.

If Wilson wasn't going to start against Southampton I think Howe would have left him on together with Isak yesterday as against Fulham.

Unchanged for me. Southampton will want to get a lead ahead of the return fixture so will be more open than the likes of Palace & Leeds lately.

Nice to see everyone on the same page and not over reacting after a mediocre game where we got a solid point and kept another clean sheet away from home.
