Saw this and thought "this I fucking have to see". Turned on the match, and within 5 seconds Bowen glides past Colback like he wasn't even there to set up Ings for a goal

Should be number 34 target in the summer.

Have you not seen his stats on FM 2004?

On struggling to do any business in the transfer market in the summer of 2012: “I think it is quiet – whether we’re all enthralled by what’s happening with the Olympics I don’t know.” On lack of finances in summer of 2013 “In particular, Liverpool and Spurs have spent a lot of money, and other clubs such as Swansea and Southampton have coordinated their financial strength really well. You look at a club like Southampton, and they’re in a much stronger financial position than us in terms of purchasing players” After being comprehensively knocked out of the FA Cup by League Two opposition in 2011: “There’s a few in there that need to understand what this game’s about….a few young boys got caught out tonight by the passion and the physical side of Stevenage.” On the psychological perils of passing the 40-point mark after Newcastle were spanked 4-0 by Southampton last season: “It’s difficult when you have 46 points on the board.” On Newcastle fans being just too darned passionate for their own good: “It’s a city that loves the club so much that it hurts itself, because of that love. If there was perhaps less pressure on our results…it would probably be a better club. After Newcastle put in a dismal shift and drew 1-1 against Rangers in a pre-season friendly: “The grass was a bit long for our liking.” After Newcastle lost 2-0 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in 2012: “Today was a little bit unfair on us. We couldn’t move the game to Sunday because of the Notting Hill Carnival.” After losing 3-0 at home to Sunderland in the most recent North East derby: “Maybe we were a bit too hyped up.” “For the last three years I don’t know, it’s science against me” – January 2014. Lack of intelligence in the local area - “Southampton have a huge catchment area and it’s a different type of catchment area. There is a big working-class community down there but there are also a lot of middle-class kids who have good educations. The players who come out of Southampton are quite intelligent” – March 2014.

Except we could have rejected Forests proposal, while Burnley couldn't because of his release clause. Crazy money to be paying for someone who provided so few goals with a significant amount of playing time in a better team. Wonder who made the recommendation and approved the expenditure at Forest.

Take it as a healthy sign then that I was giggling all the way through reading that Top post, only thing that could have improved it was a couple of examples of the lies, gaslighting & excuses. He had some real bangers. First that come to mind was when he was talking about how we needed to "put more intelligence into our players"

We played excellent for a short period March-April when Pardew used the 4-3-3 with Ba-Cisse-HBA up top. Then Wigan trashed us 4-0 and it was never to be seen again. The good results beginning of the season were jammy as fuck with 1 goal wins using a defensive 4-4-2.

Still going strong at 37 for Valenciennes in Ligue 2. He's become a CB in his latter years, probably due to how good he is in the air.

If you're travelling on a week day, do yourself a favor and avoid the trains that run during rush hours. Take in the Edinburg scenery for a couple of hours instead. You'll get better space and lower risk of catching covid.

Only semi-reasonable explenation I have is that Gapko called to let the ball go, and Coady thought it was a team mate
-
Most likely yes, but we'll never know unless he gets more than 10 minutes of game time every other month.
-
Sure you can, if you can accept that the word "unnecessarily" is your subjective opinion, and that there are valid counter arguments for why the squad isn't as complete as you'd like it to be.
-
Easily Anderson. Excellent opportunity for him to get an extended run in the team to show that he belongs here.
-
Should correct myself, he shrugged off 2 Bournemouth players before he sent ASM through. 39:39 of the first half if anyone wants to re-watch it as it wasn't in the extended highlights.
-
Laughed out loudly when he brought down and shielded the ball before shrugging off the Bournmouth player and playing an insane lobbed through ball to ASM. He's so fucking good

Only 4 clubs spent more than us in January, including the one we drew against yesterday. The transfer window may not have been impressive, but the comments about seeming entitled is when you (or others - I haven't paid attention to whom, just seen a lot of those type of comments) start blaming the performance yesterday on the lack of investment in the January window. If you think our current midfielders looked leggy, why the fuuuuuck would you want Shelvey as an alternative in the middle anyway?
-
His performance against Sheffield Wednesday a little over a month ago says otherwise. Spent all 69 minutes he was on stood 8-10m from the center backs. When he received the ball he passed it backwards to Botman immediately, no matter what. He was so bad I feel like he's struggling with something mentally, or is afraid to try anything positive in fear of screwing up. Burn is more of an attacking threat atm. Easily.

Literally just looked at the team average and compared it to Howe's score, which implies you think the team did better than what was expected of them compared to how Howe set them up and managed the game. How is that a dumb question?
-
Team average 5.5 or so, and Howe 4? You think the players did better than expected based on Howe set up the team and managed the game?
-
No way Maxi is passing to Isak there with the amount of power he put on the pass.
