Krafth was decent enough during Trippiers injury, and he's seemingly come back in as good or better shape than he was. He's on massive wages compared to what we get in return, so I expect we won't renew and we'll get someone new in.

It will weaken us some, but not having it that it'll "massively" weaken us. Livramento isn't a like for like replacement, but he has qualities Tripps doesn't have. The lad is 21 and needs to start more games to improve. If Krafths contract isn't extended, we need to bring in a back-up to Livramento, not someone who could hamper his progress.

People get too strung up on this FFP stuff It's obviously something the top clubs had in mind to protect themselves, and the rules definitely needs adjustsments, but I'm glad there is something that prevents another Chelsea/Man City happening, and I like that NUFC is trying to do it the right way. That being said, it's gone alright for West Ham & Tottenham this season selling their best players...well Tottenham the last 20 years really. Re-invest smart and continue to grow the club commercially and we'll get there sooner rather than later.

"Not ready" is such an understatement. Lad is 22 and can't even get a regular game for Swansea I wouldn't worry from a sporting perspective if we sold Trippier. Krafth is adequate cover for the rest of the season, and then his contract expires which allows us to get cover for Livramento in the summer. I'm more worried about what we lose out on with not having Trippier here off the field, but then again, if the plan isn't to include him in backroom staff set up after his contract expires, we would only have one season left with him anyway so might as well plan for the future now.

Was painfully obvious with his inflated wages due to being a free transfer there would be no way we'd be able to shift him later on unless we were prepared to let him go for free & pay for a substantial part of his wages for the duration of his current contract with us. Same as Colback and Fraser. Hendrick will be gone this summer, and Fraser next summer. When they are gone, we're going to be fully clear of the Ashley stink within the club.

Would hope we were looking at someone younger, who wouldn't require us to spend all the leeway an Almiron sale would give us ffp wise.

I loved miggy, then hated him, then loved him again. The hate was unwarranted but a period under Bruce he offered nothing but headless running and embarrasing dives, which was obviously more a result of Bruce than Miggy in hindsight. If we were to sell him we would need a younger and better player for his position lined up this window. Murphy is decent cover, but it's a lot to ask him to play the rest of the season without anyone else able to cover adequately. Gordon & Barnes aren't the answer at RW, neither is Tino.

Always thought he deserved more playing time than he got. Solid player. Hope he crushes it for Benitez & Celta Vigo.

We've had a good combination of foreign and domestic players coming in since the takeover and it's worked great (up until the last 2-3 months for obvious reasons) so I find it hard to discuss seriously when people suggests Howe only wants crusty EDL voters in his line-up. I think the mix of both is a key component to why we have done as well as we have. We wouldn't have gotten players of the quality of Botman, Bruno or Isak if we had limited ourselves to domestic players. At the same time, having a core of players who are familiar with the requirements of playing at this level obviously helps us on the field in the short term, but also helps players coming from other leagues get up to speed faster. On the other end of the spectrum I've seen some people saying we shouldn't sell X English player, or we should sign English players due to PL/European competition registration requirements. To them I'd like to say that our squad has a lot of leeway in that regard and it shouldn't be a concern at all.

I'm not really that knowledgable about players around the world like I used to, but I can't really think of another big, lumbering target man that has done well at the top level since Llorente in his Atheltic & Juventus days. Seems most big/tall strikers these days needs some pace & technique as well like Haaland, Lukaku, Isak, Nunez etc. Love watching this guy play. Wish I watched Girona earlier this season. Will definitely look out for their next game.
