I think it's partly to do with how we are countered by teams as well. We see teams are more aware of Wilson and Almiron now after both having decent starts to the season, but at the same time that has allowed f.ex Longstaff now to get more chances at goal. If he starts putting away the chances like he did yesterday, I assume teams will start to change their approach to counter his runs into the box which in turn may open up for another player instead.

FM 23 has his personality as "Fairly professional". Needs fixed asap.

Iconic of what? Imo, Bruno & Botman are already more iconic than what Silva would be. They will be the back bone of this side for the next 7-8 years if not longer. Silva would be stepping down for the last few years of his career at the top level. Only motivation for joining would be if we offered a bigger salary than Man City are giving him.

Can't see it happening unless Trippier gets injured, but let's hope Howe actually gives him decent amount of playing time. 21 is young, but not THAT young for a footballer. With the limited playing time he's had at the top level to date, time is quickly running away if he's going to establish himself as a top level player.

7 seasons with a new promise every season of a new Shelvey, and pre-season interviews of team mates and staff saying he's the best player they've ever seen in training, but never amounted to more than short spells of the player he can be. Can only see positives of moving him on really. Hopefully we get a young replacement in that can challenge for a starting spot.

Will be the best Norwegian playing for us since Per Ciljan Skjelbred.

I didn't include the unhinged posts, of which there were also many.

I wouldn't be ecstatic if we signed Joelinton now if he played for Everton & hadn't had a Norwich performance yet either. So it can only go one way from here, and that is up

Well, one of the strikers are at Man Utd now after having scored 2 goals in the WC quarter final. The other just got binned to Nottingham Forest. Easy to say in hindsight, but completely valid concern at the time imo. My expectations of this transfer is pretty poor, so at least one positive is that I can only be surprised positively if he ends up doing well for us. I prefer the selling team fans to be gutted when they lose a player. Vast majority are over the moon. And that's just three recent random pages from their forum out of many.

Unless he goes on strike until we either sell him for less or run down his contract with nothing back.

Would be interesting to see them start, but they've obviously benefited coming on against tired legs as well so not sure Howe will start them as long as things are going as well as they are.

Usually the purchasing price defines the wage level, so was quite surprised to see this. Was expecting him to be on at least double the wages. Sort it out Ashworth, and add a few years to the contract at the same time! Edit: nvm. Didn't read the last page before responding but @Rich cleared it up above. That sounds much more reasonable.
