Never understood the rolls royce reference. He doesn't seem like an expensive heap of trash with a nice coat of paint on him. I kind of like him as a player.
  2. Villa have been unlucky with long term injuries to their two main signings this summer.

    Fabian Schär

The amount of times he's bonked heads with an opposition player you'd think they would start to pull out of challenges soon as they should know now that he won't

    Alexander Isak

Already looking forward to him coming off the bench toward the end of the game and score against the mackems in 2 years when we're already a goal up, and bow and beg for acceptance from the fans during his celebration.
  5. Watching a post match interview with him now I don't really agree with that. He's salty as fuck, saying Liverpool gets all the decisions for them at Anfield.
  6. Hatches were battened, sleeves rurled up and bus parked in front of goal second half. While Man utd didn't have many clear cut chances, I understand their fans feeling it was 2 points lost. We were a bit lucky to get away with a point imo.
  7. Antony has nailed the early 00's Dutch clubber look.
  8. His injury record is starting to become a concern. Last season he only missed 3 matches, and that seems like an anomaly compared to 18 games during 20/21 season and 12 games during 19/20. Already missed 5 games this season and set to lose 3 more. Many of them are hamstring injuries. Doesn't bode well for someone who is only 25.
  9. 2cm longer arms and Pickford saves that.
  10. Seem to remember he was saying in interviews how big of a change in life style getting a kid was and that he was struggling with sleep around the time his form turned to shit. Probably got over analyzed and concluded on here by majority decision that it was the childs fault and not just Kennedy not being as good as we had hoped for.
  11. He's more like the typical heel that gets beat up for 30 straight minutes during Money In the Bank, only to appear at the end when everyone is down and weasel his way up the ladder for another undeserved shot at the title belt.
  12. Ashley Young is either 27 years old or on some horse sized TRT doses.
  13. Damn, I was hoping there wasn't any further words when clicking on the link in the WBA tweet and that the statement really only was "Steve Bruce".
  14. He's not reliant on being particularly strong or fast, so could easily see him performing at this level for the next 7-8 years, and still be a handful for any team in his mid-30's. Have a feeling he'll stay here for a long time. Everything he's said and what I've read about his time in Brazil indicates that he's not particularly interested in joining a club where the table is already set and road to success paved by others, but want to create something on his own.
  15. Takes more than 3-4 decent matches to change my opinion based on the last 7 seasons.
  16. Iwobi is an awful nothing footballer, but that was a sweet shot.
  17. Paqueta is so different from what I thought he would be based on reports & highlight reels. His all action, hard pressing style which would make him suitable to play anywhere in midfield is nowhere to be seen.
  18. Basically the same as Man City does with Walker at RB or Ake at LB with Cancelo on either side. Arsenal with Zinchenko and White. Edit: I do think we've done more or less the same when Targett has been in the side too. You'll see from heat maps that Trippier always is more advanced than him. He do give us a bit more attacking fret in the side compared to Burn, so would prefer Targett there when fully fit.
  19. Lets hope it's not the usual post-injury ASM that needs a number of games to get back to form that returns to us, but one raring to go and firing on all cylinders. Either way it'll be an upgrade on Murphy/Fraser so he needs to get as much game time as possible.
  20. So apparently 1 out of every 15th inhabitant in Bodø was inside the Emirates stadium yesterday
  21. The Maddison ass licking on here
  22. He's primed them to become a boring, nasty lower mid-table team for years to come. Boring, old but solid defenders. Physical midfielders with little ability. Hard working attackers with little end product.
