If he can't make money from stripping down everything to the bare bone while advertising his tat for free & make the club shop into a SD shop that won't benefit the club itself at all then he won't buy anything. Honestly wouldn't wish him on anyone. I'd go as far as saying I wouldn't even get enjoyment out of it if he bought Sunderland. I just feel pity for anyone desperate enough to want him as an owner.

I don't mind discussions on what can and could have been done better (as long as it isn't in the form of the feces flinging criticism we too often see in match threads). This is a discussion forum after all, but I hope for the vast majority that what you've said above is the over arching sentiment. Despite discussing hypotheticals, we are mostly overjoyed by where we are as a club at the moment, excited about what is to come and enjoy cheering on the great personalities we have in the dugout and on the pitch.

Nobody is saying he should be benched. Besides fatigue, the main benefit of having a bench is to replace players when they aren't performing, and Trippier wasn't performing today so why not give Livramento some minutes and Trippier some rest? You say Livramento or any of the other suggested subs wouldn't have changed anything today like it's a fact. In fact, you have no clue whether they would have or not. Neither do those that wanted those subs on, but I fail to see what detriment to the team fresh, quicker legs at that stage in the game would have had.

It's been going on much longer than that. Liverpool was an anomaly in that he did many changes at the same time (not until 72nd minute mind), and before this season we haven't had many option on the bench, and neither a very congested fixture list where it was as important.

Don't need more players. We won't use them anyway
-
It's got the right players in it that we need on, despite the general quality.
-
Livramento for Trippier Targett for Burn Willock for Joelinton We're being ran into the ground by Wolves atm, and losing possession due to sloppy play/passes.
-
Yeah, time to give Tripps a rest. Get Targett or Hall on for Burn as well. Need quicker legs.
-
Almiron playing up front when we're out of posession to preserve Wilson?
-
We're scoring when it's raining. Who'd have thunk it after Dortmund?
-
Starting 11 good enough to get a win. If we fall behind and need to change things up....whoah...It's going to get grim, Willock excluded
-
More likely to happen to Longstaff

If Isak is out for a couple of weeks and Wilson gets injured (not beyond the realms of possibiliy considering the number of games we have & his injury record) we may need Gordon to slot in as a striker. Would love to see Miley get some playing time.
-
Would like to see him or Hall play more often. Especially against teams who primarily set up to defend against us or when we are chasing a goal.
-
I thought so too. Perez was used as a pressing forward, Rondon target man & Almiron as an attacking midfielder set up a bit like: ----------Rondon----Perez---------- ---------------Almiron--------------- With our wing backs providing the width.

He's not much of a dribbler, but the way he times his acceleration while knocking the ball past players is sublime. Nobody are able to get to the ball, so it's either a foul or he gets past them.

Entertaining match. Both teams played well I thought. Margins were more on Dortmunds side than ours. A draw was probably the most fair result. Think we'll beat them in the return fixture.
-
Fair to say Dortmund had a better bench than us today? Fucking hell. Didn't pay attention to it pre-game, but they're putting on star after star.

Fuck. Nice goal too.

Looks absolutely miserable playing out there

He got a nasty injury second half of the season but was playing more or less every minute of every game for them before that. Stephen Kelly took his spot rest of the season. Pamarot joined Redknapp at Portsmouth half a year later while Spurs brought in Paul Stalteri summer 2005.
-
2004 - 2008 they ended above us, but with exception of 1 year not by more than 3 - 6 points if I screened through the years correctly. We were competing for many of the same players and they kept getting the key ones over us in that time period. Carrick & Berbatov notably. The shift in stature for me started for real when Modric went to Spurs over us in 2008 while we got Nacho Gonzales on deadline day instead. They replaced Carr with Noe Pamarot. Hardly someone you'd call an upgrade on Carr whom two seasons earlier had been named as the best right back in the league by his peers.

Choreographed goal celebration from Maddison & Son.
