  1. Luckily I fell asleep around the 30-40 minute mark.
  2. Love the feeling of watching a Bruce led team play, and hope they lose badly out of schadenfreude and glee rather than contempt.
  3. Got a lot of sympathy for Blackburn due to the shit their owners has put them through. Hope they get promoted and get a new chance to establish themselves in the top flight.

    Fabian Schär

I hope you're right, but I doubt we'll see him perform as good as he did under Rafa on the right in the 3 man central defence. It was tailor made to get the best out of him imo.

I love that photo That old baldie is so happy. Every muscle in his body is clenched, blood pumping to his head as he's trying to hold tears of joy back but he knows he's going to fail in doing so. This is the greatest thing that has happened in his life. What was the occassion now again?
  6. I've been quite vocal about accepting Howe not changing the midfield in its current form, but if one of them has a below par performance I'd like to see Bruno in there without any chance of redemption like Fuck waiting for suspension or injury.

    Paul Dummett

I'm not going to fact check that, but my gut feeling is that this is re-writing history. I'm sure he's had a lot of woeful performances, even defensively. Had a good little spell under Rafa, and a few games under Bruce but other than that his defensive qualities has mostly been judged on the odd admittedly impressive recovery run and subsequent sliding tackle, literally the only redeeming quality he has, and now he's not even doing that.
  8. Great bump btw @YorkieLove reading these posts of people finding their passion for the club again.
  9. Think you're getting trolled by wormy guys
  10. Oh this is a hard one. I'm watching every match now from start to finish, gave my father and myself a round trip to Newcastle + match tickets of his choosing as christmas gift, am more active on here than I've probably been for last 10-11 years, just hungry for any Newcastle related content online in terms of reactions, pod casts, analysis, highlights, rumours etc. I went with a 3, but honestly it's probably higher, it's just I want to believe there's still some way to go further down the line when we're hopefully challenging for trophies instead of fighting to avoid relegation.

Judo tosses is all technique. This is more like Brock Lesnar man handling Hornswoggle.

Mediocre is fine for staying up. Might even get us closer to mid table than relegation at the end of the season.

I almost feel a bit bad for finding that funny. Someone who are so incapable of controlling their emotions can't be in a good place, and it can't be soley down to the fortune of one club and misfortune of another...or?
  14. If we can nullify Rice and Bowen we have a good chance of getting something from this game. Rest of their squad is solid but unspectacular. I'd like Howe to consider swapping ASM and Fraser around as ASM could have a field day against Cresswell on the right, and maybe be more inclined to cross the ball rather than cutting inside for the shot.

    Kieran Trippier

Three games ago Shelvey scored our only goal in a 1-0 match on free kick. Fraser can deliver decent corners and did so today. It's not the end of the world even though it's a hard pill to swallow that we may be without Trippier for some time.

    Kieran Trippier

Oh, it definitely will affect our performances don't get me wrong I just don't think it will affect us so much that we end up with less points than the three teams below us.

    Kieran Trippier

Because we still have more quality in the dugout and on the pitch than the three teams below us.

    Kieran Trippier

Let's hope it's not his metatarsal based on how it ended for our last England international who broke his It's obviously a big blow, but it's not to the extent where I belive it will sway one way or the other in terms of staying up.
  20. Great goal by Leicester btw
  21. Wouldn't mind minor short term injuries to Rice and Bowen ahead of our game. If they don't play, we'll win imo. Even if Trippier is out.
  22. I get your point, however my take on it is that he was the only player that was pressing the ball in those situations, and it will be easy for the Villa players to pass and keep him 5 yards away no matter how fast or on the pace he would be.
