Merino back would be sex. Biggest mistake of Benitez' tenure here not giving him more game time after he came back from injury. No matter how good form Shelvey & Diame were in at the time, form is temporary. Merinos quality was obvious.

At a certain point he was probably one of the players I detested the most at this club. No end product no matter where on the pitch he played, no particularly redeeming qualities in general play besides running around a lot and did some of the most embarrassing dives I've seen from a NUFC player in recent history. Wolves don't have much quality in their side tbh. Take out Neves, maybe Nunes if he adapts to the PL eventually, and they are left with either old players on the decline or young players not good enough. So far they look like the best bet for relegation this season.
