God damn I love when Barnes magically finds that blistering pace to get past players.

This feels too comfortable without being in the lead. Hope it doesn't come back to bite us in the second half now.

Besides wanting a win, I'd really like Joelinton to crush Van de Ven in a 50-50 challenge early on so he plays the remainder of the game with a broken ego and spirit.

I wouldn't have any of the other 5 over Howe. He's the most likable, has the best footballing philosophy and has the ability to become the best of them all. At present time, in a ranking, it's between him and Arteta for 3rd imo.

It double what we paid for him, and he's played the equivalent of 8 matches for us over the span of 1.5 seasons. Seems fair to me as long as we include a nice sell-on and/or buy-back.

It's a fine balance to strike. I prefer Burn ahead of Botman right now, but Botman is the future so he needs to play enough to continue his development and stay happy.

About how I would rank them as well. 3 & 4 and 5 & 6 are so close it could go either way for me. Howe probably gets 3rd ahead of Arteta, mainly because he isn't an insufferable twat.

Think he'd be really expensive, but yeah that type of fullback would be my preference too due to his versatility. Would probably end up playing just as much as Livramento and Hall acting as cover for both of them so wouldn't worry about playing time. The Temu version if we want to focus more funds elsewhere would be KWP.

To be fair to him, he might have been aware that he wouldn't play much at Man City, but he wouldn't play much here either with Pope (rightly or wrongly) being front of him, so he preferred to play for his club, probably with a higher wage than we would/could offer and as Pep has shown he won't stand in the way if someone wants to leave so good chance of moving on elsewhere if he doesn't get sufficient playing time. If we buy him I feel his choice was justified.

Depends. If there's no team willing to pay for him, he's way too good to release on a free. If there is a team willing to pay what the club considers fair, we should let him go.

Think its time we tried to continue with the game plan that gets us ahead instead of parking the bus. At this point in the season I've been conditioned into hating going up early as I know we give away all initiative and hoping to hit the opposition on counters. We're pretty good at it tbf, but not good enough to withstand power play for the majority of a game.

ugh...I mean we look comfortable defending, but it's awfully boring to watch and you just know eventually they will find that one pass or the ball will fall favorably for them and they'll equalise.
