Been traveling for the past 28 hours, so saw this first now. First impression is that it was a good result, untill I saw how it happend. Still, a point of Tottenham in their current form is pretty good. Only positive thing about this is that the lads will probably be even more determined to prevent this from happening again, should a similar scenario present it self again for quite some time.

Them rejecting the bid at this point would actually be even better. Keep Villa down, while Sunderland have an unmotivated player who wants to leave, while not having funds to strenghten the squad. Him being down there talking with Villa suggests this isn't true though.

£18m isn't that much for a striker who has scored 32 goals in 58 games for Sunderland in the premier league. Especially for a team like Villa who is desperatly trying to avoid relegation. They are probably secure now if they get him.
