I thought that was his biggest mistake of the game tbh (though the speed was impressive). He was completely shut off when the counter attack started, and didn't start tracking back properly until it was too late. He had the chance to prevent that goal.

I think you're absolutely right that he probably looked a lot better due to the circumstances of West Ham having already keeled over and let us do whatever we wanted until the ball was inside their goal area. It's arguably the best squad we've ever had. However, it's an unbalanced squad in that the attacking players are of quite higher quality than the defenders, which makes it even weirder that the bald freak set us up to invite pressure on the part of the team that is the worst.
