Thought he played well on Monday against West Ham too, so it wasn't surprising that he did well today as well. Even taking away what he did footballing wise, simply by being on the pitch with his "aura" and experience in lack of better words really helped us today.

There's a good argument for this. I normally hate to play players out of position, but it seems easier for him to dribble from the left. With peace and love his technique, vision and passing isn't very good anyway so it's not a huge blow that he has to cross with his weaker foot. 1v1 defending which is his primary asset is probably easier against inverted left wingers too.

The fight in the players today is so important. Liverpool can be pretty ruthless in their aggression off the ball and seem to get a psychological advantage over opponents very often as they can't breathe in possession. I expect us to lose the ball often, but we simply can't respond to that by falling back and defending outside our box for long spells. I fear our players will go into some sort of survival mode rather than going for it and upsetting the Liverpool players the same way.
