Aye, I was listening to Absolute Radio and they had some live thing going on, somebody said they bumped into him upstairs (I think they said he was talking to a page 3 model although I was half asleep). Smooth. I'm sure somewhere reported he was to have detailed discussions with MA/DL this week about recruitment. Maybe he was in London for that? Is Pardew still married? Yep, Swedish wife and all. http://wooller.co.uk/sites/wooller/gallery/10520/dee_pardew_8433.jpg

Almost. He's born in Roubaix, approximately 5 km from the Belgian border. Close enough.

I somewhat agree with parts of this. They will probably stabilise as a midtable PL team for a couple of years. Yes, they are a very good passing side and yes they keep the ball very well most of the time. What they really do lack however is penetration. They really do play most of their stuff in their own half and a couple of yards into the opposition's half. I much prefer our style play the last couple of games tbh. Maybe I'm old fashioned but I tend to enjoy teams that actually make things happen most of the time and try to attack with purpose. At times you need to keep the ball to keep your opponents at bay but a gameplan which brings your team the 2nd lowest shots on goal in the league is by no means anything to strive for IMO. Anyways, for a team with their squad and their goals they've done really well most of the time. It's just that they are a bit boring. -
Pretty sure its just as high with Taylor in the side. Colo out!!! Nah, only 57% with Tayls.

Except that French dude who all of a sudden appeared in Newcastle back in August 2010?
-
Nowt wrong with that. Sometimes you just have to take your hat off and say fair play. It was the best individual performance from an opposing player I've seen at SJP since Scholes in the 2-6. Hmm dunno like. Perhaps it was just the timing of it. To me it signalled the apparent threat of our oncoming relegation and i'm sure MA came out and said something on that day too, i can't really remember though "What price for a Top 6 finish?" or something like that wasn't it?

Yep, it was a nasty knock to the side of the head. He looked completely lost for a second, eyes just went blank.

So what you're basically saying is that Santon won't feature in the coming weeks?
-
Isn't the point Ronaldo is making kind of exactly the same point then? If Bellamy hadn't turned out as good we'd have been midtable back then as well?

Matt Spiro @mattspiro Not Knockaert, not Giuly, he is young, but not a kid. Not gonna say more for now #NUFC
-
Anyone else but Knockaert from Guingamp that we've been linked to recently from Ligue 2?

They've (Reading) got a new russian investor as well, right? Would be weird if McDermott would jump ship to take over the reigns at Wolves when he's got the chance of promotion with Reading and a whole lot of money coming in.

Sunderland haven't lost a game this season by more than 1 goal. And 14 teams have lost a game by 4 goals or more.
-
Yes, thats right... You lot must have been ready for murder going off past seasons of Souness, Roeder, Allerdyce, Kinnear. I think people are getting ahead of themselves. Which teams have played good football this season? Swansea? You are completely right. Well argued, I will leave it at that. And apart from Souness I think no manager have had a strong starting line up as Pardew. Hope you directed that one at yourself btw. DrVenkman was just showing how your own words sound. We have 17p in our last 14games. Something calls for a change, thats relegation stats. We are running on fuel we gathered in the beginning of the season. And Pardew is having problem adapting to bad results. We are a too good team to not win, but its up to Pardew to make the right changes for us to go on another good run. Playing Obeshitebulb or Raylor wide right isnt the way to go. Id try Raylor instead of Danny for once against Wolves. 17 pts in 14 games is equivalent to 46 points in 38 games. Not really relegation stats is it?

It would had been his own fault completely. If you don't do due diligence then you deserve to lose x amount of money. Yep, it would have been his fault. But on the other side of that exact coin we aren't in financial meltdown thanks to him. He's done a lot of good things for the club, and he's made some huge fuck-ups as well.

A handsome, self-made billionaire having a great (albeit drunken) time. What's the point?
-
Yep, just completion rate. Valencia by the way has a 25,5% completion rate.
-
95% of his crosses are fucking dreadful. 21,25% completion rate with his crossing (17/80). Better than I thought tbh. Would be interesting to see how that compares with other wide players in the league. Can't imagine it ever gets much above 30%. Seb Larsson 28% (54/192) Pennant 30% (51/170) Mata 25,6% (43/168) Nani 21,4% (39/182) Barton 25,5% (33/129) Bale 29,1% (35/120) Downing 22,9% (33/144) Ryan Taylor 26,1% (23/88) Ben Arfa 8% (1/12)
