He's not even a bad bloke, he's just blunt and honest which verges on tactlessness at times. I'd have him at NUFC in a second, though that's hardly much of an endorsement.
-
I don't want to jump on the Stifler the stupid cunt bandwagon, but god almighty, of all the brainless shit I've seen on here. Just atrocious.
-
He was never 'in form' as a Liverpool player. Which is pretty obviously when payment was missed. People on here can be fucking dense at times, like.
-
That is toe-curlingly stupid. So stupid is Keegan's footballing philosophy that we won promotion under him at the first attempt, qualified for Europe at the first attempt and then were one win against Man U away from taking the league title for the first time in 70 years. Not even the Man U away game, the Man U home game we battered them, particularly the first half. We'd have went into the last match of the season on 80 points, with Man Utd on 76 if that had finished say, 2-1. Yeah, I mean 'away' from the winning the league. They deservedly battered us at OT.

Football and tactics are awful yet he likes the most detestable manager in football. Must be Ian W.
-
I bet they had a right laugh at that. £35m for an injured striker out of form and they were charged interest on top.
-
Die in a fire you repugnant bastard.

Carroll was told they wanted the money far more than him. I'd have left, too.
-
Oh, right. Like a great deal of the football managers on the planet.
-
Does someone with half a brain want to explain the Pardew comparisons to me? Sherwood is honest and plays attacking football. Those aspects alone make him Pardew's opposite. From the south though, eh.
-
I love it when managers are compared for no other reason than the region in which they were born. Really progressive thinking, that. Anyway, back in the real world Sherwood will get them scoring (more) goals. They'll stay up now, no bother.

Great post, York. Actually probably worth pointing out too that Cabaye actually felt bigger than us, if that's how you want to phrase it, on the back of a poor season for him personally. He didn't really hit top form for us till his final 3 months here.

Jesus Christ.

I hope that's not aimed at me. Obviously he's currently better than Mike Williamson thus instantly improves the side as tgarve has questioned. He also has potential to improve. In my opinion to the standard I've mentioned. Not sure what the 'marrah' guff is in aid of, either.
-
The only example you can provide is his first PL start. He's never had games anywhere near as bad as Colo, Williamson, Taylor and MYM have in the past 2 seasons.
-
I have certainly never written a player off based on their first or second start in this league. Inexperience is never an acceptable excuse for lack of effort, mind.
-
Where has this lack of strength and aerial ability been apparent? You're just making things up now. He's certainly not slow, either. He's perfectly fine on the ball for a 23-year-old CB.
-
Not when the alternative is Mike Williamson.
-
Quite a ridiculous statement given that he's clearly already an improvement on what we're starting.
-
It's the same old crap. Young local lad must be poor even though he's had very few bad games and does everything pretty well you'd want from a CB.
-
Mong of the week the competition on here, like. I think people have forgotten what a CB actually does after years of having ones that can't defend. Size and inexperience are the only things holding him back.
-
I don't know about Palace but he turned down West Brom because they didn't want to implement his ideas for building a club philosophy from the ground up. Horrible club in a knackered part of the country anyway.
-
You're kidding me. With the right coaching, partner and plenty of time, he can become an adequate, average, regular Premiership defender who can start a few games on the run and deputize for better CBs when required. He's 23, man. You're basically suggesting he'll do nothing but stagnate and even regress from this point. Brainless. Yeah, snagging quality CBs for 'our' club sounds completely realistic.
