As happy as I was for us to win, that Man U game was an anomaly. Our B team against a side who, almost to a man, didn’t give a fuck. I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever seen a side throw a game at home to that extent against us.

I sincerely worry about holding on to certain players if we drop 4 places. Bruno, Isak, Tonali, Botman etc playing Europa Conference football isn’t right.

For what it’s worth I think we need two new players in the starting Xl who are gifted creative footballers first and tenacious runners second. That’s the next step.

I do think we need to evolve to a place where there’s another way of playing when intensity is lacking for whatever reason. Watching Longstaff and Joelinton play with tired legs yesterday was painful.

Find it very difficult to understand why so many stayed under Ashley, prioritising their 2 hours on a Sat, sat on their hands and allowed people like Bruce and Carver to be appointed and sing the same nonsensical shit every game.
