What amazes me a little bit, is how everyone on here seems to be in agreement that the Keegan all out attack style is what's fundamentally right for NUFC, yet when you reveal a preference for players who'd fit into such a system - wingers who create and don't graft, midfielders who primarily support the front men and defenders who'll threaten on set pieces - you get criticised. Bit of a double standard, to be honest.

Sissoko was marking Benteke and MYM standing well away from the goal mouth watching. I was only able to laugh because we won the game.
-
Except when Benteke scored when he was marking nobody. That isn't how I saw it You need to watch the goal again, mate. Watch MYM, it's actually pretty funny.
-
First goal was a shocking error.
-
We spent loads, for us. Spent an actual fraction of the Carroll money, net. Didn't we spend like £3m net?
-
Money doesn't come into it, he gets that anyway. He needs the motivation of playing football. I'm almost certain that if we get a new manager you'll see the change in attitudes that we saw when Bobby took over from Gullit and Shearer and Rob Lee became footballers again. Ridiculous.

The team that finished 12th was shite man, they over-achieved like many sides in their first season in the premier. Stop spinning it otherwise. How many of those players you mentioned as good players would you want in our side? How's that relevant? Our side shouldn't be fighting relegation either. Anyway, waste of time. Hughton's a nice guy and an abysmal manager. We all know it.

What are you on about then? It's obvious to anyone with eyes that Hatem isn't giving nearly enough in his training or in an attacking sense in matches. Just as well the players being picked ahead of him are doing so well then. What's your point? Mark Viduka, Joey Barton and Michael Owen were hardly highly conditioned athletes. Keegan got the best out of them. That's my point.
-
I've never seen him in training so can't comment. Every fringe player doesn't almost win games and then get dropped after a single poor team performance, he was the one taken off, not every fringe player. He's had brilliant games for us yet he's dropped at the first opportunity. How would you feel if you were told to sit on your arse as work doing nowt while the equivalent of Shola got all of the good stuff? Not once but on many occasions. I'd guess you'd laugh it off at first but it would get to you. Right, but it doesn't excuse poor conditioning. He's being paid a hell of a lot of money to do something athletes who barely scrape a living manage to do with relative ease.

"Quotes also appeared in Senegalese media that said Minala was 41."

After spending fuck all in the summer of 2011, by the way.

I don't think it would be a problem if he was playing, would you get hyped up for work if you were just told to sit around when you went in? I'm sure he's told to sit around when he turns up for training. Basically excusing every fringe player from blame for poor conditioning.
-
It's part of the reason, he's clearly not motivated. Fine. Both Pardew and him are to blame. It's a problem that goes way beyond the manager.
-
I wonder if that might have something to do with him playing virtually every game when fit? Mick are you suggesting that playing 20 minutes a week instead of 70 is the direct reason for Hatem's weight gain?

Work ethic. Right, because he never had to. Nor should Hatem. Hatem shouldn't worry about Ginola's work ethic?

Was never out of shape, either.
-
If he's going to keep making ridiculous, inexplicable errors he's giving Pardew all the ammunition he needs to keep him out of the side.
-
Don't think Keegan would put up with his work ethic, mind. I'm not on about the lack of tracking back, either.
