By my definition he's a poor CM. I've given this rubbish too much attention now.
-
It must be stupid day for the rubbish section of posters on here, like. I don't have a problem with anyone saying I'm wrong. I do have a problem with anyone saying I'm wrong because I favour a differ approach to football than the nonsense players like Tiote generally facilitate. We all gravitate towards different players and different styles of football.
-
Some people will take this seriously and agree with it.
-
Gonna be awesome.

Why does it even matter? Robert didn't get the same send off because he didn't put in the same amount of graft as Jonas. Obviously graft isn't everything and players like Smith and Butt put in effort, but were totally awful. Jonas wasn't albeit for one season when he was. He had his faults, but people will always appreciate effort if you have something to offer the team I'd rather give someone credit based on overall contribution.
-
Robert got more goals and assists in his last season as a starter than Jonas did in his entire 6 seasons with us. I don't care if he smiled for the cameras or not. All I care about is the application of quality on the field.

Parker, Bellamy, Robert.

I just remember far better players not getting anything like this kind of love when they left. I'm all for appreciating his efforts but this is a pisstake. We're well shot of a nice guy but an awful player.

On several levels.

You do realise you only make yourself look like the utter fool you are with stuff like this?
-
He did have better players around him, for sure. He never really brought the ball forward though iirc. When Madrid sold him they said they wouldn't miss him: “We will not miss Makelele. His technique is average, he lacks the speed and skill to take the ball past opponents, and ninety percent of his distribution either goes backwards or sideways. He wasn’t a header of the ball and he rarely passed the ball more than three metres.” They missed him a lot though! I don't think Tiote has Makelele's positional intelligence and calmness but, there is a role for that type of player. It's just that when you have that type of player it's meant to give license to your other players to attack but Pardew doesn't have the stones to allow that. Chelsea obviously played a transition game and used him as the main recycler of possession in the opponents half. If you're going to play that type of game you need a hassler in there. When you've got an uncreative midfield and attack to begin with I just think we're compounding the problem in playing a DM. There's a place for him against City and the like and I said that at the start of the season, but at home he'll hold us back more often than not.
-
Yeah. But Makelele was comfortable bringing the ball forward, and he had 5 supreme attacking players in front of him.
-
And everyone knows I'm wrong for wanting a better player in there? For not rating a purely defensive CM? OK. You aren't changing my mind on this. It's somewhat flattering you seem to want to so strongly, but it's not happening.
-
I rate him more than Cheick. Have fun.
-
Wasn't a nice tackle but it's good to see he has some aggression in him.
-
Been saving that for a special occasion? Stick to what you know, eh? Like making absurd points about Alan Pardew and pretending to be something you're not on internet forums.
-
if you don't want to be pulled on shit, then don't stalk the forum making absolute declarations about players which turn out to be bollocks You really aren't too bright, are you? Pull me on whatever you want by all means if it helps fills the void on your oil rig, but I won't repeat myself again, dude. I've explained to you that he isn't my type of CM. I'm surprised and impressed that he's not giving away goals and possession like last season but that's as far as it goes.
-
It's misplaced. Give him credit for trying by all means but what's gonna happen when a genuinely good player leaves when he doesn't really want to?
-
We really have become shockingly small time, man. I don't remember this level of sadness for Robert's departure, and he had ten times the talent this carthorse does in his penis.
-
That's what I'm most pissed off about. Norwich struggle to score goals, and he'll make that situation far worse.
-
The fuck?
-
Just where exactly was the service expected to come from for him? Sissoko running into blind alleys, Gouffran scared to take players on as per, Cabaye knacked, Remy off the boil, Hatem on the bench.
-
£3m. He's the last player Norwich need, too. Clueless.
-
Speak for yourself. If it pushes Shola closer to damnation I'd say it's fucking brilliant.
-
Especially when Gouffran's too tired to track back and doesn't threaten at all out wide.
