Shut up about Souness, man. He talked absolute nonsense about Bellamy from start to finish, trying to justify playing him on the wing ffs. Fuck off man. Either read the full quote or don't post your Moyes appreciating verdict without just cause. You what?

It was away at Charlton. Bellamy had scored once in a 1-1 draw.

I think Bellamy was targeted originally in 2000 because Bobby knew Shearer was pretty finished as an athlete and needed someone who'd be able to put pressure on the CBs all game and be unselfish in the final third. Bellamy benefited so much from his stint here, though. By the time he left he was on course for over 20 goals that season. Smashing player, really. I'd urge anyone to watch the 02-03 season in particular. Bellamy didn't get that many of our goals but he played a part in an absolutely staggering amount of them through his pace, energy and creativity. I don't think I'll ever see a better second striker in our colours than 93-95ish Beardsley but Bellamy came pretty close.

Fwiw Bellamy and Robert still haven't been replaced 9 years later and if we turned their clocks back a decade or less and signed them they'd be our best 2 players, even in our best side since Bobby. Says a lot about the fans that wanted them both gone so the likes of Shola and N'Zogbia could prosper.

You've just described Craig Bellamy before he signed for us I was never a Bellamy fan, even back when he played for us. However i can't deny what a huge impact he had on us, was a perfect fold for Shearer. Saying this Long is nowhere near as good as Bellamy. What the fuck? How could you not like Bellamy? I'd have him back here even now with his legs long gone. Love the mouthy little cunt.

Disgraceful paper.

Which is, after all, all he has to discuss.

Beat Manchester United 4-4-2, Chelsea 4-4-2. Cisse's debut against Villa 4-4-2 when he came off the bench. We got tonked by Wigan and we stopped with the 4-3-3 after winning so many games with that formation. It had nothing to do with Ba. In the next game we went back to basics and beat Chelsea 4-4-2. From that point Pardew would change between those formations based on the scenario. Aye, ok. Anyway, I can't be bothered arguing about him. He's at Chelsea wearing his gloves and celebrating like mad on the first of every month. He's happy.

You say 'plenty' and give one example. We were winning games with that system yet went into the new season with a different one. Pretty obvious something was said in the summer.

Not really. I would want a striker capable of bringing others into play but confident enough to consider himself the main man for scoring goals, hence I don't mind a but of greed in front of goal. To me, bringing others into play is something that happens in the build up of attacks, further away from goal.. So unselfish = not confident in front of goal? Give up and stop being daft, man. I'm right, Mole's right, you're wrong. Right and wrong? Really Ronaldo? Maybe you would care to explain what you meant by "if you're playing three up top you need an unselfish player in the middle", because from where I'm sitting that sounds like a load of utter and complete rubbish. Then you proceed to bring Ba into the equation as not being that type of player and say he's only useful feeding of scraps on his own up top, which you should know is not how he has best performed for us, as I seem to remember you saying in the past he was best used playing of a bigger striker doing the dirty work. Honestly, your argument seems to be all over the place on this.. If you can give me an example of a selfish striker who played the role described to good effect I'll hold my hands up. I will, as soon as you explain what you meant by "if you're playing three up top you need an unselfish player in the middle". Given that you speak English I don't think I'll bother.

I blame Pardew. Ba put him in a very difficult situation, though.

Just look at the 5 players taking penalties for Man U, man. How far they've fallen.

All the ones Moyes has never won. With Everton. Great point.

Rafa Benitez won the CL. Great boss but he's about as negative as they come. It's wrong to suggest a manager who sets a team up not to lose is incapable of going far in the CL, provided he has the platform.

If they invest in a few new players they won't fail under Moyes.

The team was better before things were needlessly switched. That's all I give a damn about.
