  1. Danny is solid enough but ideally I'd like a fullback that can control a ball sometimes. In that sense, he won't be hard to replace.

    Sunderland...

I know it's early days for the MON reign, but they looked turgid against Blackburn. Robinson hardly had loads of saves to make and barring the two late wonder goals, they looked clueless in and around the box. They lack pace, creativity a goalscorer and like us, a left back! Apart from that they're class and nearly a top 6 side Aye. Blackburn were unlucky that they had to make 3 subs in the first half. Kean seemed happy to exploit their total lack of cutting-edge by defending deep for the whole ( ) second half and it would've been hilarious if they were to hold on. If they could put on somebody to retain the ball (Rochina or Hoilett ) they would've won easily imo.. Still, the mackems are awful.. in almost every footballing aspect.. I can see them getting a surprise result at Spurs this week and maybe a couple more after it but ultimately they'll end in a relegation battle. Unless O'Neil manages to buy a very good goalscorer which isn't going to happen, as they don't have the funds, nor the reputation to attract a good one. Generally, I like O'Neill and I think he's one of the better managers but I have the feeling that he was the wrong choice for Sunderland. Tactical naivety and lack of planning on transfers got them where they are now and those are two of O'Neill's major weaknesses.

http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=653710 Their squad is suddenly top six again. FTM!
  4. His mentality makes him the goalscorer that he is. Determined, brave, physical, always looking to get involved - exactly the opposite of fucking Shola. Well done Demba!

    Dan Gosling

Even without the through ball for their goal and the brainless tackle, it was evident that he simply lacks the agility, positional discipline, intelligence, composure, quality on the ball and all other possible qualities to ever resemble a good central midfielder. He should prove that he can be relied on consistently in the reserves before getting another chance with the first team.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I'm afraid Pardew is making a big mistake here. It's obvious that even off-form and unfit Ben Arfa is our best option for the RW spot. He can only get better and Pardew must help him accomplish that for the sake of the team.
  7. He's been out for quite a while. We'd be better off giving a chance to Kadar than play an unfit Williamson.
  8. Out for the season? FFS! I didn't even see him get injured. Such a shame, he has been so steady and consistent this season. Get well soon gig lad Let's see how good Carr is at spotting defenders then..
  9. He's not that bad but he doesn't seem to have the mentality to be an effective player in any sense of the word. Ben Arfa on the right please.

    Sammy Ameobi

Aye, I'd like Pardew to give a chance from the bench to Little Fergie and Vuckic too. Not that I know what their condition/form is like but Ferguson especially has shown that he can be relied upon as much as Sammy imo.
  11. Can't blame the players for the effort, nor Pardew, despite leaving our left side so vulnerable. No need to be too harsh, it was a difficult situation. Shambolic decision by the referee though. That's a straightforward red and it's not even debatable. Very worried about the centre-backs' injuries. Especially the Captain. Colo IS our defence at the moment and it felt like everyone in the ground realised that when he went off.. fingers crossed he returns asap because we are a different team without him.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

    Please stop wumming.
  13. We're in a tough situation. The decision was disgraceful, clear red card, not even debatable. No excuse for the ref. The players are giving their all as usual and I'm very pleased so far but I just can't see us getting anything of the game. Ryan Taylor and Perch simply won't cope.
  14. Hopefully Lovenkrands is upfront at least, it'd be easier for the team to carry him from there.. I have a bad feeling about today (again). We must be focused. Howay the lads!
