Righto Are you forgetting who we were playing last night? He'd be dominated at centre midfield in the Prem. Can see him operating well off of the striker, but he is not made to play as a holding midfielder... Hasn't he played like 3 seasons as a midfielder in a 4-3-3. He'll cope.

Aye.. looks promising. Apart from the creative qualities he also demonstrated decent work rate and defensive covering, despite their right side causing us problems. I was worried he might be too lightweight for that thing but he seems to hold his own just fine in one-on-ones..

He looks composed on the ball, good dribbling and shooting technique and apparently he's one of the more dangerous strikers in the air in Ligue 1.. By all accounts Maïga is more suited to a deeper, second striker role, so he should be good foil for our other strikers.
