  1. Talking to a West Ham fan during the week that pays twice what I do. It's a not so bad.
  2. Why can we say how shit the strip is, but not how shit this advert is. It's fucking hideous. Almost as cheap and nasty as those fruit of the loom printed "King Kev" T-shirts they're selling in the club shop these days.
  3. Lol, as if they are REALLY going to shut SJP down because of people standing I mean come on has there EVER been a major incident where people were hurt at SJP since the extension in 2000 because the away fans stood? You think council inspectors turn a blind eye to Stewards turning a blind eye?

    Jeff Stelling

It's worth putting up with the other twats* to see Stelling's consumate performance. 5 hours of continuous live TV every week? No-one comes close. Des Lynam used to demand respect for his 30 minutes of final score. He's been blown out of the water though. *I've got time for Charlie Nicholas too tbf.
  5. I'll join in if they do it at Old Trafford, but as our safety licence depends upon it and the stadium gets shut if the club do nothing, I'll sit this one out if you'll excuse the pun.
  6. Shola was woeful like. Carroll looked the finished article in comparison. In the second half he was dropped back to midfield and Baheng went into attack. Keegan ran down the tunnel a few minutes after he went off. Presumably to have a word. I can only hope it was to explain why he won't figure in future plans. Kadar did well at left back but none of the other newbies really shined. I wonder why Enrique doesn't get a run out in the reserves or in the first team.
  7. Very good point. Has he played as many consecutive games for us before? What is it now? 10? And Ramage will be fit soon.
  8. We shoot up the league to Intertoto heaven.

    Alan Smith

I just got an email off Alan Smith. Other footballers I work with are Steven Taylor, Stephen Carr and Steve Harper.
  10. You know we've conceded 16 goals in our last 4 games away from home, right?
  11. When you're playing shit, you should be dropped. On your logic Willie McFaul should still be in goal.
  12. Someone on TT asked for these. Stuff like this.... http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/6206/09may1955ahl7.jpg There's a zipped up file with more of them that I've uploaded here... http://download.yousendit.com/4CA55613254B8C18
  13. Good to see the top teams are seeded to make sure it's not a title decider. Of course the bottom teams get no such guarantee. Absoloute fucking disgrace. Can you imagine going down because you drew Arsenal for this game and your main rival got Derby? I'm amazed any of the other 15 would even consider going along with it.
  14. Is there much trying involved in entering one all draws across the board?
  15. Gazza played 374 games of top flight football over 17 years. Beardo played 532 games of top flight football over 15 years. So I can see the argument that Pedro was better at avoiding injury, but Gazza had the longer top flight career.
  16. Maybe the poll should be reset so people can reconsider now that it's been made clear.
  17. Gascoigne was the only Englishman in the the team of the tournament. EDIT: He was also in the Euro '96 one.
  18. So are you saying Gazza was just all skill and no end product? No, not at all. I just don't think he had the mentality of a professional sportsmen and, as such, only achieved a percentage of what he could've. I'm a Gazza fan, but I don't admire him like I do Pedro. Can't go along with that. Longevity shouldn't be a concern. The question is, when both players were on the pitch for 90 minutes, who could do more in that game? It's undoubtedly Gascoigne. His wife beating, drunken, psycholgically unbalanced, drug addled state of mind doesn't come into it. It's like saying The Clash are better than The Sex Pistols because they have a larger back catalogue. The Sex Pistols' one album is better than anything from The Clash. Both are good, but the Pistols defined the period. Completely wrong, but good analogy. The Clash were much better than the Sex Pistols, but the Pistols are the one's people who aren't really into music remember because of the hype and the drama. Bollocks. I love the clash, but they never made an album as good as Never Mind the Bollocks.

  20. I wouldn't even agree that Beardsley did more with the time he had... Club and Country Gascoigne FA Cup, 1991 Scottish League Championship, 1996 and 1997 Scottish Cup, 1996 Scottish League Cup, 1997 Beardsley Football League First Division 1987/88 and 1989/90 FA Cup 1988/89 Charity Shield 1988/89, 1989/90 and 1990/91 Football League Second Division 1998/99 FYP. I don't see how removing Gascoigne's individual awards is fixing the post. Perhaps if you'd added Beardsleys.
