  1. Has this cunt been sacked yet?
  2. Wish he'd just go back to Surrey. If anyone ever sees him on the train, nick his return ticket.
  3. There's nothing wrong with being 9th. Especially on a small budget. The problem is we know we've recruited well, which negates the small budget bit. And we know that Pardew has no game plan at all other than to defend and have players that can run round a lot and track back and negate the opposition. Which is utterly horrid to watch. If he had the balls to admit that was his game plan, if you can even call it that, then maybe I could still kind of forgive him. I'd not like him, but maybe I could accept it. Maybe. But instead he then comes out with barefaced lies about what he's trying to do, saying he's trying to create this "front-foot attacking football" when everyone with eyes can see that's a blatant lie and that we spend virtually all of the 90 minutes looking terrified about what the opposition are going to do to us. So again, nothing wrong with 9th. I think we should aim higher, and I think we should be higher, but I can accept 9th. But the manner of being 9th is just so horrific and soul destroying, and is killing my interest in watching us play. Which is heartbreaking.
  4. He'd try his best in the PL (Or at least try to look like he is), then if we qualified for Europe he'd just rescind our place. I could actually see that happening anyway if we qualified for Europe by some future miracle / accident.
  5. I really hope we're 4-0 down by half time. I hope we get utterly humiliated.
  6. I think the reason I hate Pardew so much is because I know he's not going anywhere. With Souness / Allardyce / whoever else we've had who has been terrible we've always known that the board wouldn't let them underachieve for long. That they'd be out on their ear soon enough, so we never had to summon the kind of bile we get for this chump because the owner / board removed them first before it built up. However now we know that not only is he incompetent, but his incompetence is in line with the owner's mediocre expectations of the club. There's no prospect of him leaving. No prospect of him being sacked. He's s*** and he's here forever.

And because it would be hilarious.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Chronicle probably trying to nerf it back to 30% now.
  9. I'd have Allardyce above him tbh. I hate Hippoheed, but at least he had a gameplan. Even if it was a horrible one, we at least knew what he was trying to do and how he intended to score a goal. Pardew has no gameplan whatsoever beyond defend and try to contain whilst hoping for some magic up front.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Hatem Ben Arfa should 100% start against Man United. However I hope he doesn't. Because we're going to get battered no matter what and if he starts he'll inevitably get the blame and we'll not see him play again. Needs to only start matches we can win.
  11. Just saw some bits of him on Look North. Usual bullshit about why we got beat - Lack of energy. Lack of determination and desire. Note that it's never about a lack of flair, creativity or skill - Things this clogger doesn't care less about. All he wants is people who will run round a lot, track back, get stuck in. No interest at all about actually being good at football. The utter clownshoes buffoon. He'd be too scared to play Ginola because he doesn't run back enough. God I hate him. Football is about enjoyment, about entertainment. There's none at all to be gained from watching a single moment of this man's teams play. I can't wait until the day we have a proper attacking manager in place who can see beyond a skillset of running round lots.

Aren't loyalty bonuses paid over the duration of the contract rather than as a lump sum at the end? Always thought that they were spread out pro-rata over the whole term. Not sure they'll have to stump up £8m all at once. Not that this makes their predicament any less funny. Just slightly more realistic.

    Sunderland

When we went down we kept many of our decent players. That's why we came back up again, not because of some terrific rebuilding exercise. If (when?) they go down, they'll not be keeping the nucleus of a good squad for all the reasons already mentioned. They'll be pretty much building their team again from scratch. Not saying that's impossible, but it sure as fuck isn't a blessing to be in that situation and have to do it.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Sad but utterly true. The single way that Ben Arfa starts the next game is if we win this one or we draw and he scores. If we lose, irrespective of how, that fucking coward will take the easy way out and blame Ben Arfa and drop him again. Despite us losing plenty of games without him and the actual culprits never being blamed so clearly.
  15. Nah, Van Persie's only 30. I know he seems like he's been around forever though.
  16. We have players who can pose a threat, but we have a manager who cannot set us out to cause a threat. Its undeniable that the players are there though. We should be able to go through Fulham like a dose of salts. Sadly, this will be erroneously chalked down to Pardew being missing from the touchline....
  17. Yes, nothing wrong here tbh. Nothing wrong with asking for a meeting, nothing wrong with Ashley refusing it or the way the club handled it. The Chronicle coming out of this looking a bit silly really.

Drunk consent is still consent. The day it's not we're going to need fucking enormous prisons.

    Sunderland

Oh, my preffered result by far is for Man City to slot 8 past them. But I feel I just have to mitigate against them somehow scraping a win.

Been having great fun scouring the free bets on oddschecker for this trying to mitigate their inevitable fluke win today. PaddyPower will give you a free £25 bet if you place £10, so I've stuick a tenner on the unwashed to win in ET@35-1 BetVictor will give you a free £25 bet if you place £25, so I've stuck £25 on the unwashed to win on pens at 28-1 Now just waiting for someone to top 19-2 for a 90 minute win. Unibet favourite at the moment but Sunderland are drifting and you can get 11-1 on Spreadex, but no free bet as such. Should be able to do enough with the free bets to recoup most if not all of my outlay if/when Man City steamroller them. Though I confess I'd be over the f***ing moon if Sunderland won on pens today.
  21. Publicly fining him is a good move by Ashley, as it means that because the club have addressed the incident, the speculation about it being a sackable offence wll go away.
  22. He does seem to have a tremendous engine on him. Great stamina, pace, strength and determination. Coupled with being a decent footballer, they're great assets.
  23. Sadly, there's no way he'll get sacked for this. No way at all. Which is a horrid shame. Just hope the FA give him a 6 year ban instead.
