  1. Id bring Emre on, I dont think Butt is having one of his better games. Im a fan of Martins but he has been useless recently, he wants too much time and doesnt look like he knows what to do. He cant blame it on being on the wing tonight either.
  2. Dont think city deserve to be winning, city could possibly be down to 9 as well. N'Zogbia has looked very good.
  3. I would have left him out for Emre tonight. Sure he will come on for half an hour or so. As discussed in another thread he is probably better suited to that at the moment, but I'd still like him to be given a run pushed on.
  4. I would have left him out for Emre tonight. I would have had Faye at the back and Cacapa out for Emre I think Faye has looked very solid in DM, more mobile than Butt, although Butt has been one of our better players this season. I wouldn't drop Cacapa.
  5. I would have left him out for Emre tonight.
  6. Could work having 2 defensive mids sitting back and supporting whilst 2 wingers push on, especially with Viduka starting.
  7. I thought Milner played well, I dont think anyone apart from perhaps Martins played poorly. Beye would be my man of the match though. Not unrealistic to call him world class from what I've seen so far.
  8. Ironically he did f*** all when he become a LW. It was when Martins was taken off and our wonderous manager ridiculously decided to play for a draw, actually. Owen was a positive move. Martins was poor. We didn't lose because of that move. agree with that.
  9. we worked hard for the entire 90, bollocks to say we stopped playing for the last 20 imo, overall if anyone should have won, it should have been us. We was all over them for long periods in the 2nd half.
  10. Whilst I am one who thinks that we should not be sacking him so early on, he wouldnt do himself any harm by playing players in correct positions, dropping certain underperforming players, playing a formation that suits our squad etc.

    Yes or No?

Because that's exactly what i said wasn't it you muppet. Its not what you said but its showing the same typical Newcastle fan impatience.

    Obafemi Martins

I'm a fan of Martins' and would rather see him in the team than out of it, but I think he has been very poor recently. I can appreciate that he's been playing out of position, but he is struggling with really simple things at the moment like bringing the ball down and passing it. I can't remember the last time he took on an opponent and beat him, he seems to beat himself most of the time lately. I dont think you can really put these simple faults down to him playing out of position. Another thing I've noticed as well is that when he has a bit of time on the ball waiting for an overlapping run, he seems to telegraph what he's going to do to the whole stadium before he does it. He's such an infuriating player, because you know he has so much more to offer.
  13. Quite possibly the most sensible, to the point post I think I've seen on this forum. Couldn't agree more.
  14. Ferdinand on the home Ginola on the burgandy Shearer on the denim
  15. Once he gets one he'll probably end up scoring goals here and there, I'll go with 4 league goals.
  16. I didn't think Bouazza looked anything special.
  17. Its really suprising how many people knock him when 9 out of 10 games he's our biggest threat. He's intelligent enough to use what he has to accomodate the fact that he isnt lightning quick, although he isnt slow. First midfielder on the team sheet for me, he's the only player you can be 90% sure of what your going to get.
  18. Id pick Rozenhal ahead of Taylor, my 1st choice would be Cacapa Faye though.
  19. christ. Alright, I exaggerate, but he's not good enough at the minute. He didnt play great but didnt do anything to really warrant being called poor. I dont have any doubts about him clearing his lines when he should like Titus.
