I agree with ON, chances of a 3pm kick off are very small, wait till the media get hold of the reason for the delayed kick off: Two weeks into the season and NUFC fans still waiting to accept delivery of their season tickets. You know what would have been easy and straightforward? Just activate last years tickets to work this year!! Too easy though eh?

The fact that it is 9:30 and no-one has come on here saying that they have received their ticket is something of a worry though!! I predict a riot!!

It said that they are using TNT Mail, all that means is that TNT were picking them up and sorting them, TNT then contract the actual delivery of the mail to the Royal Mail, loads of companies do this. My American Express bill is sent by TNT but, actually delivered by the post.

Some sort of technical issue according to the official sources. Translated to right royal fuck up by all concerned in my book - 1) trying to move and reorganise practically the entire seating of the stadium 2) the very late sending out of the renewals in the first place. 3) the huge increase in prices generally. 4) the new costing structure for the the seating. 5) people wishing to move seats because of the prices / new "singing areas" / family seating. 6) the complication of people having paid upfront for this season already and having price differences, desire to move into other areas etc. 7) trying to do all of the above during one summer. There are probably 100 other reasons on top of those but, that is all I can be bothered to recall right now!

Well, it's Thursday!! My post doesn't normally arrive till late morning so I won't know until much later whether my ticket has arrived. Anyone got theirs yet? Seriously this is fuckin ridiculous, can't believe that the papers haven't picked up on this yet! Another reason to have a dig at the "soap opera" that is Newcastle United!

On the renewal pack it said that anyone with a Premium Seat such as Platinum, Sovereign, 1892, Leazes bar get a club membership included in their package which includes the club magazine.

I haven't had my ticket yet so I printed off the form to apply for a Magpie Mover from the .com website link. That same day they ran a piece about Network Ticketing being snowed under and they would have problems getting the tickets out in time for Saturday so to remind people that they would have to pay for their Metro ticket if they used that method of travel. Sent my form off on Monday, they will have got it yesterday and I only received my Mover ticket today, that's how easy it can be!! Got doubts over whether the season ticket will be here by Saturday and I predict a fiasco!!

How can he be injurred? He has never put enough effort in to even break a sweat in his entire life!! Unless he keeps his wallet in his arse pocket and the weight has caused a problem!!

Pretty much what everyone on here is thinking put into words there I think. We all knew that the club was in the shit before Ashley bought it and we are all aware of how much money he has tipped in to keep us afloat. Decent read without actually telling us anything that hasn't been written somewhere else before along with the continuing vitreol of who is in charge of player recruitment. Still a week or so left to bring in the promised additional players and still I have faith in the club to deliver (at least everything apart from my season ticket!!). What we really want this year is a nice quiet, unremarkable season winning the games that we should win and not getting stuffed by anyone. A neat top 10 finish and get all these press monkeys off our backs to allow us to do some decent business and push on forwards.

Based on the season ticket sales they could do with hurrying up the big signing because I think there are plenty of unsold seats left this year.

There used to be heaters in the East Stand when I was a kid, they were hung from the roof and made absolutley no difference to the temperature around them!

Why would Berbatov come to Newcastle? The squad being assembled at Spuds is looking very impressive (prepares to be shot at from several directions) and if I were a player with any sort of ambition I would think that Spurs are moving in the right direction having spent close on £50m this window!

Ok, he was sacked in January following the dreadful run of matches without a win. All I was saying was that without securing the 17 odd points that we did by September we would have been bottom three by that time with little chance of escape, as it was we had just about done enough to allow a decent run towards the end of the season to save us. Remember it took Keegan about 10 games to get his first win at Fulham!

Exactly. I was only saying that the decent start that we had saved us from devastation. Those 3 months without a win would have probably had us bottom 3 in January if we hadn't started the way that we did.

We actually started quite well, I think if it hadn't been for the 17 or 18 points we had amassed by September we would have been right in the shit over the xmas period. As it was we sunk into a very dangerous position and were only saved by a late rally after the turn of the year. I can clearly remember that when we were beaten against Derby away, that was one of our games in hand over teams above us and if we had won we would have moved into the top 6 at that time. We held an unbeaten home record for quite some time as well.

Bugger the thread isn't about goal celebrations anymore, still my favourite ever was Shearers when he got the record against Portsmouth at St James'. Still think his simple one arm aloft salute is the best ever generally. The worst is that horrible Earnshaw thing where he does a forward somersault and pretends to fire a gun. It makes me want to run up to him and knock him clean unconcious!!

The latest version of Media Player should do it but, if not try downloading something like PowerDVD, all the codecs you need should be included.
