  1. Noticed he had a word with Pope when he came on, and Pope caught the very next corner to settle us down.
  2. FWIW he has been tweaking things over the last few games, it’s not that he suddenly realised he needs to change.
  3. I don't know why anyone is in doubt about this. He's an amazing signing. Maybe some people hold his ban against him and think he owes us instant returns or something, but the lad is a highly-rated Italian international midfielder and someone we couldn't have dreamed of signing before.
  4. Extremely hard game but I've got more hope that I had at 7pm.
  5. Surprise surprise, he's mint.
  6. He was immense tonight, Chelsea players were literally collapsing in fear. TBH Chelsea's selection and approach was like throwing chunks of meat into the lion's den, but I'll take it.
  7. I'm not sure the two Joes down the left is the answer mind - they both missed good chances arriving at the back post. Saying that, we won so it's not that important this time.

    Will Osula

He's definitely got something about him, said at half time I hoped we held the two-goal lead so he could come on earlier. Had a couple of moments where he maybe made the slightly wrong run for the passer to find him, but obviously none of these players have played together that much. I understand why Howe takes time to get people bedded in but hopefully we can create more leads and situations where he can be used.
  9. He's a capable player like. He's intelligent, super fit and decent technically.

    Lloyd Kelly

Did lots of good things but also quite a few big mistakes. Still think he might be good if he can be coached to not give the opposition second chances by taking too long to make a decision or thinking he's better than he is.
  11. Thought Kelly had a weird game, plenty of good things but a few quite big errors. I think sometimes he's trying to be too calm and collected and ends up turning a good moment into a second chance for the opposition.
  12. It's not often I'm right about something in football, but I knew this lad was class. Could end up being one of our best ever signings.
  13. Yeah, it’s so much better. Even the disallowed goal was much better, knowing immediately. Especially the way we made the first goal, so nice to know that VAR can’t find a way to disallow it.
  14. Hmm, I think we were consistently the better team tonight and dominated Chelsea from the start. That’s pretty good. I know Chelsea didn’t seem bothered about getting through in the end but still nice.
  15. Could just be carrying his iPad in to play with on the bench.
  16. I’m not sure if there’s a stat for this, but it feels like possession turns over rapidly in most of our games. For us especially, because we’re making so many mistakes, but probably the opposition as well. I feel like a lot of the time there’s just no structure that develops.
  17. I’m not sure if we put too much stock in Wilson or if we just missed the chance to sell him because of his period of great form. And probably how difficult he is to sell, for obvious reasons.
  18. TBH I expect the crowd to be more nervous than bouncing, but hopefully I’m wrong.
  19. Probably yeah, why we shouldn’t base too many opinions on results or league position.
  20. Almost anything being a few percent better would mean this. We’re very close.
  21. Not giving people their money back might just encourage them to tout the tickets instead.
  22. That’s a really bad idea though isn’t it? Unless we’re saying we can sell one world class player and sign 2 or 3. I mean, if we have to sell to avoid a points deduction then that’s one thing, but from a league position and points POV you’d have to expect we’d be worse off.
  23. We’ll go full strength but I’m not sure that makes us strong favourites. Maybe even given Chelsea are better but we’re at home.
