  1. I was honestly starting to believe they were learning how to run a football club and keep themselves out of the headlines.
  2. I feel the same, all I can think is that selling low-quality tracksuit bottoms at rock-bottom prices is the only thing where treating your consumers like idiots and your suppliers and employees with contempt actually works.
  3. He could have bought a lot of advertising for the money he has wasted on NUFC to be fair.
  4. Wouldn't be suprised - he struggled with Tevez and Mascherano at West Ham. Oh fuck, I forgot about how he treated them! FFS
  5. We may as well lock this thread TBH. They would literally have to give away free champagne pre-match, appoint Jose Mourinho and have playboy models dispensing blowjobs at half time to be forgiven after all this. And even then you would be worried the champagne was Belgian or the girls had STDs.
  6. We all know he never takes all the consequences of his actions into account. Sometimes his decision make sense from one simplistic, ego-centric, fucked-up point of view. It's all the other angles that make it look idiotic... the ones he can't see.
  7. Pardew is definitely 'experienced' enough.
  8. At least if Ashley knows, that would suggest some sort of thinking. I just think he snapped and fired Hughton without thinking it through, as usual.
  9. Probably done with a big Aphex Twin grin. It's like when Peter Griffin's angel on his shoulder gets stuck in traffic.
  10. At least that would be mildly interesting (the appointment I mean, not the suicide).
  11. Maybe this is the time in life where I realise football is just something to take a look at on MOTD once every few weeks, and check up on the scores while doing something more important. There's only so much it's worth putting up with, I know it sounds pathetic saying it, and I should support NUFC through anything, but it just seems like more trouble than it's worth at the moment. Really down about it all
  12. I honestly can't think of any decent option that are realistic. It's just depressing to think of some of the options.
  13. NUFC statements mention a lot of things, very few of them are actually facts.
  14. The first one is lunacy, the players liked Hughton and no doubt hate Ashley. The rest will never happen. Anything else?
  15. If Ashley appoints a decent manager and backs him with decent transfer funds in January, then you might have a point. There is zero reason to think that will happen though. Also, even if the replacement does end up doing a decent job, that doesn't mean Hughton was bad or deserved to be fired.
  16. Totally, he was just building a team I was proud to be a fan of again, even if they weren't world beaters. The idea we're going back to a circus run by Mike Ashley and whatever mercenary hasbeen he can get is deeply depressing.
  17. Definitely yes now, but I can't really bring myself to care about what happens at the moment. If we get relegated now it won't be a surprise, we will have brought it on ourselves (or rather, Ashley has).
  18. I'm strongly interested in shagging Cheryl Tweedy, chances are it won't happen. Let'e hope the logic follows in this case.
  19. Course, people don't seem to realise just how poor our squad is with a few injuries. A new manager isn't suddenly going to make Simpson, Routledge, Guthrie, Ameobi, S Taylor, R Taylor, Lovenkrands, Smith and Chums into good footballers.
  20. Just thinking, if I had strangled Mike Ashley to death that time I was sitting a row in front of him, none of this would be happening.
  21. There's no evidence at all he's 'lost the dressing room' or any of that shit. Man management was probably his best attribute.
  22. Been thinking this through, and the most logical explanation is that it's some sort of horrible dream.
  23. But we've proved we can get results in this division. With a week's training we might have easily got a result at Liverpool. There's no on-pitch reason to explain this sacking.
