How would you rate our January 2023 Transfer Window?

Weghorst isn’t a great signing. Haven’t really seen Sabitzer play, is he good? -

Not sure about marks but I think it’s a very positive window. Wood and Shelvey really don’t add anything, finding someone to take them is class. Signed two very promising young players with a very high ceiling. I’m sure the club know we need a CM so either they couldn’t get the right person or they decided not to bring forward summer spending. Both understandable. -
It wasn't ever a good pub anyway, massively expensive as well. Was a gathering place though.

Don't see the point of going to central London when you could just stay in Newcastle, but I guess drinking near a different monument is fun.
-
You could argue that setting down is keeping them up, and they've just gone and shaken it up again for no reason. At least they're in a better position now though.

I'm in London already on the morning of the final, getting back from holiday. But I'll travel back to Newcastle if I don't get a ticket, 90% sure. Town will be mental if we win.

Really hope he does well at Forest, his whole career is basically him not being quite as good as he should be. Will be interesting to see how much he plays.

We can raise the roof in specific moments, but we rarely can create a wall of noise that lasts for any length of time. With the exception of strawberry corner maybe, but that's not many people. -

It always is, I'm convinced that's a major problem. I can't be bothered to sing at breakneck speed, so I just stop. Not just that song either. Next campaign, #singslower -

I think we definitely need something to make the songs go more slowly. They just fly by and people can't keep up, so by the second verse everyone gives up. -

The pre-match stuff is a challenge to get right, I think the announcer needs to keep out of it if possible. People will wave their scarves and it will ripple out from the gallowgate naturally. "Enjoy the game" has to go, absolute shite. NE27 is right though, I can't remember a consistently loud atmosphere ever. Sure, when dramatic things are happening on the pitch, but it soon dies down when the game goes quiet. -
Hopefully he will step up another level while Bruno is out, he should see it as his responsibility to get the club through these 3 games. I'm sure Eddie will be saying he's in the best possible place to do it.
-
I almost wanted him to stop getting in such good positions
-
It's way too harsh for sure, 3 games for something accidental is over the top. Both players basically made the same action, because the Southampton player skidded over the ball and his foot came down where Bruno couldn't have anticipated.
-
I find Everton hard to assess - are they a basket case because of intention/neglect like Ashley, or just bad decisions?
-
Nobody's going to want to go there.
-
The Sterling situation is bizarre. Surely he's good enough to play for Chelsea.

Newcastle United v West Ham United: 04/02/23 @ 17:30 (Sky Sports)
AyeDubbleYoo replied to HaydnNUFC's topic in Football
Bowen is quite good form, that's the only worry really. And containing Rice without Bruno. Guess it will be mainly Joelinton. -
It’s absolutely silly what he’s done really, shouldn’t be possible.
-
Have criticised this guy to the max in the past, but I think I might be a fan now. He’s always had that nice ability to ghost into the box but you can tell he’s been working on the shooting too now. We really don’t emphasise the role of coaching to improve players enough. Sounds obvious but we’re really seeing the impact every week.
-
Having seen the replay I think he’s pretty unlucky. Their player’s foot comes over the top of the ball and lands where he can’t anticipate. Seems like both players basically make the same action with their legs and one gets sent off. Anyway, these things happen, hope we can keep him sharp for the final.

Only saw the replay on the big screen, did he mean it or just get unlucky?
