  1. just HTT's way of saying that it feels as if this was all about Sala. Now that we we've found his body we can all move on. It's only in recent days that the press have realised that the pilot has a family also and they deserve very effort to find his body too.
  2. Rafa's boots are going to be a lot harder to fill than even KK'S and Sir Bobby's. KK left and we were still massive, rich and second only to ManU. When SBR left we still had a decent squad and (some) money to spend, just finished 5th. An owner with ambition. Freddie screwed up with the replacement - it was obvious to all Souness was going to be a disaster. We were still doing well enough to attract a top top coach from europe. There is no one out there that can match Rafa's tactical know-how, attention to detail, ability to get the best out of average/shitty players, have a season-long plan in place etc etc. Most of all - Rafa doesnt doubt himself or panic and shit himself under pressure, and he can't be intimidated by the likes of the Ashley. He won't be a yes man. He gets the club, the city and fans and is a uniting figure in the mould of Keegan and SBR. we are fucked if he leaves.

    Players in public

thought his family weren't allowed up anywhere near here.
  5. interview with fabio pechia - makes you feel angry and sad, then almost to tears with the last bit. “We often speak to each other. Even before I left for Japan, I asked him for advice,” “If he keeps Newcastle up again this season, he has pulled off a sporting miracle.” “Now, the aim has to be to compete and move to a higher level. Bigger investments are needed.” “I don’t know if he will stay.” “He has a good connection with the club and he is loved by the fans, but he also wants to win things – and he knows how to do it.” “When we arrived at Newcastle, in March, the situation was very difficult and our only goal was to try and save the team,” “If we had got there a few weeks earlier, we could have done the business. This was the biggest disappointment.” “I was only in Newcastle for three months, but from day one it felt like home. The atmosphere at St James’ Park overwhelms you.” “For me, for any Italian, to see a game like that one against Spurs (5-1) defies all logic.” “A relegated team and 50,000 people who cheer on their heroes and above all sing the name of Rafa.” “Extraordinary.”
  6. glad the ashley-out chants were still being belted out.

think Ki has to play when fully fit and then its a question of who else in a 2 or 3.

    Kenedy

eh? if he plays well someone else will buy him if ashley won't stump up the cash.
  10. poor, but the like of Lloris have made more howlers this season.
  11. not too disappointed. decent performance, decent chances. just a rick by Dubs. but 3 points from last 2 games is fantastic. but fuck me.....Kenedy is atrocious.

    Miguel Almirón

“Never a dull moment” is a strange choice of wall art. could have been worse. "you don't have to be mad to play here, but..."

    Sean Longstaff

he's done well but i still think the Ki/Diame midfield is our best option when everybody is fit.
  14. impeccable minutes silence last night. was a smattering of applause from the back of the gallowgate but soon disappeared on the referee's whistle when no one else joined in.
  15. was the FCB there last night?
  16. how the hell does he value the cub at £300m then - because its a cash cow for the fat cunt.
  17. perez was great again and i was a bit annoyed when rafa took him as he was strecthing city and keeping the ball. but then what do we we mere mortals now. trust rafa.
  18. huge anti-ashley chants in first half.
  19. brilliant - any bullshit from the presenter? was that cunt simon jordan in the studio?
  20. ha ha - would def do that if i could guarantee thousands of others did too. just too many traumatic memories of pranks at school where you all arrange to something daft like this then you turn around and the rest of the fuckers havent joined in and are stood laughing at you, ripping up your clothes etc etc. fuck, off to ring my therapist.

    Transfer rumours

My daughter's got a lush unicorn one on her arm at breakfast. she's gonna get wrong at school though. I warned her.
  22. "Julie Palmer, regional partner at business consultancy Begbies Traynor, said late filing by a company was a "good reason to ask questions". Richard Hyman, a strategic advisor to retailers, said: "I think this is unlikely to be anything significant and I suspect with all the plates Mike Ashley has spinning, filing his accounts on time ranks low on his list of priorities." seems that Dick is a bit of a cunt.
