  1. I would expect so as he is a coach at Leicester.
  2. He played on a really terrible pitch, wouldn't be surprised if he did. International duty and then second child born this week so probably missed training.
  3. Yet again a Pardew team concedes a goal scored by a substitute within minutes after coming on.

  5. I think wanting him to fail so much is because every time Palace win, the narrative is how Newcastle fans must regret hounding him out. Infact, everything he does there at the moment is referenced back to us. And his whole time at Newcastle is now based solely on the 5th season with all the relegation battles, poor football and his personal misdemeanours conveniently airbrushed our of his Newcastle career.
  6. I thought the loans were Chelsea's way of getting round FFP. Apparently, the fees for the loan deals have been quite lucrative for them.

The emails go to my work address so they always go into a quarantine system as the system thinks they are junk mail and I eventually get notification of them a couple of days later when I get asked if I want to download them.

That reminds me of a game I went to at Arsenal when I was at the front and that mascot came over and started stroking my face for some reason. If you are talking to him, you are drawn to his head but actually need to be talking towards a kind of gauze in his neck. Was a bit weird. Gunnersaurus is quite a comical mascot. Always amuses me when he lines up with the players for a minute's silence which seems to remove the seriousness of such occasions.

clubs get the.money up front which immediately makes your offer more attractive. You aren't still players three years down the line when they're injured and s***. Yep. Going back to the Berahino thing again, I bet if someone had offered £16-18m cash up front, WBA would have sold him, rather than the £5m plus the rest up to £22m or whatever it was Spurs supposedly offered. Levy made a statement today about this and it included the following: “However,” Levy continued, “I do want to make a few general points regarding transfers. Firstly, there is hardly a transfer concluded across Europe which doesn’t include staged payments. This is particularly so when significant amounts such as £20m-£30m are involved – players don’t come cheaply these days. Obviously hasn't done any business with us recently.
  10. I don't expect us to finish top half but would hope that the football is more entertaining this season and that we don't get drawn into a relegation battle. I just don't think we have improved the squad enough to overtake most of those teams that finished above us last year especially as they have all improved their squads as well.

Don't think they would. But the prices for a ticket would tumble. Both Liverpool and Man Utd have struggled to sell tickets when they have been underperforming in recent seasons. Who knows how much they would fall with seasons of continued underachievement but I would expect they would still get decent-sized crowds.

Not sure I agree, I don't understand why he didn't force it. He's 26, and it's a short career. especially with the euros coming up, sure he'd be an outside contender but another season like last one goal wise and he'd be in consideration for the squad. Then again do we need another player crying and moaning because he won't be getting a slightly larger sack of money each month? All credit to him for not acting so selfish. Hope he does well this season and in his career. he'll probably be off in jan anyway, somebody down near the bottom will be desperate enough with the new tv deal starting next season (i think) to pay whatever to get a goalscorer. If QPR are looking like they could get promoted, he will probably see it out rather than risk joining a club that could get relegated.
  13. If Spurs had come up with an acceptable offer, he would have been sold. Levy is always trying it on and leaves things to the very last minute and Peace isn't a man to be messed about.

QPR will probably have the same problem in January. They will drop his price down to about £10m-£12m and clubs won't pay it because he will only have 6 months left on his contract.
  15. And some pundit (can't remember who) criticised us for signing too many players. I think we have probably signed fewer that most.
  16. He missed half of last season through suspensions.
  17. It was quickly spotted that they had missed out the part of the quote referencing the directors etc and it very quickly got pulled after that. George Caulkin also tweeted them about it as it is a quote from the book he wrote with Sir Bobby so he is quite protective about it.
  18. Didn't Mitrovic play against Arsenal last year in the Champions League? I am sure I read that he had a very good game against them.
  19. I actually think De Jong looked much more mobile last night but I guess after virtually a year out, it will take time.
  20. A couple of great defensive headers back to the halfway line like Shearer and Carroll used to do.
  21. Press have been saying for a while that he is going to Southampton after the Champions League qualifiers (oops!).

  23. 5Live said Jak Alnwick was magnificent for Port Vale tonight v West Brom.
  24. Hopefully this will encourage him to maintain his recent performances.
  25. Been rumoured for a while that Evans is going to Everton.
