    Hossam Ghaly

I'm practically spewing up a kidney forcing myself to type this, but, well, seriously, well done Steve Bruce for telling the cheeky cunt to fuck off. And the "Tottenham reserves" line is absolute quality.
  2. Bouma was awful when he first arrived, under DOL, but was a player transformed last season and said quite often how much he had learned under MON. Gordon would do for me.
  3. Peanuts 43.50 - all the Sky shit 10.00 - multi room 10.00 - Sky HD 10.00 - Setanta 73.50 a month. I need to sort my fucking life out.
  4. I think Hangeland will be one, and wouldn't bet against Bosingwa coming in too, with Davies an outside chance. We need a keeper, though, Stuart Taylor is shite.
  5. Indeed. Although he had three centre halves to pick from today, despite playing Mellberg at RB, he could have stuck Gardener there from the off. Odd indeed, finishing the match sans CBs.
  6. I'm just back from watching us beat Inter 3-0. Nice to have a preseason friendly at home - our first in 12 fucking years, believe it or not. You could tell Inter are a way off full fitness, mind. Although it didn't stop them beating Man United the other day. We look fucking excellent coming forward, NRC was very good, protected the back four, kept play moving and let Petrov move forward. Ashley Young was very lively again and with him, Agbonlahor and Moore, we're very mobile up front. Barry was superb, as he always is. We still look shaky at the back, mind, so I want to see some investment there. Rumours abound of a Jol-busting deal in place for Curtis Davies. A RB would be nice, too. Ibrahimovic is a mentalist, by the way.
  7. The UEFA cup is nice, but ultimately worthless, since the format was tampered with and bastardised to suit the CL clubs.

    Kieron Dyer

To be honest, I think they already are. Some achievement. I never bought into that 'everyone's second favourite club' bullshit, but even so, it is good to see how people are quick to recognise their duplicity and awful behaviour of the last season. They are without a doubt the least liked club in the PL at the moment.

    Kieron Dyer

As an outside, I'd quite like to see someone tell West Ham to cunt off (even if Dyer is worth 4m maximum), just to fucking annoy them. Loathesome, loathesome club.
  10. Dream on, he's too good for Villa. What, like Gavin McCann and Jloyd Samuel were?
  11. He was fit to start with, the problem was that when he started having injury problems, he never really stopped. I don't know what to make of this. As I said, this really had me absolutely gobsmacked when I saw it, and my first reaction was to wonder why the fuck anyone would take that kind of a risk, but I dunno .... something about it makes me feel uneasy. If you get my drift. I feel a similar way about Dyer. I'm pleased he's gone, because he's never fit so can't possibly justify what he's paid or fulfill his potential. But now he's gone what if he stops getting injured? It is much easier when you ditch players you know are shit and always will be (hiya, Aaron!), but sometimes there's this murky dark area where you're not quite sure ....

  13. Or looked at another way, 16 games in over 2 years. Not good.
  14. Indeed, but if there were any chance he'd recover, we'd have offered him a longer contract. We still need a new RB, but we also need cover. If Delaney is fit and leaves, we still need 2 RBs. I can't believe he has two lined up.
  15. I have to say, even though Delaney is a free agent, if this move went through, I would be genuinely astonished, for two reasons. Firstly, we haven't got a RB at the club. So, if we're letting Delaney go and not getting him ona longer contract, then that suggests that he is properly fucked. Secondly, if you are taking him, that suggests he is not properly fucked. But if that is the case, why are Villa letting him go when we have no RB at all?
  16. This is way, way off the mark, he is an infinitely better player than Aaron Hughes. But that doesn't matter, he can be Ronaldinho for all the difference it makes if he is never, ever fit. I think they meant the newcastle era Hughes, but I get what you mean. He's better than any era Aaron Hughes. When fit

  18. Haha Lack of oxygen ? He generally ends up needing to be on oxygen if he manages to stand up for any length of time, tbh
  19. PS - he'll never pass the medical.
  20. Strange, could have sworn I replied to this but it has disappeared. Delaney is an excellent player, but he will almost certainly never play again. Note that I've been banging on about not having a single RB at the club, despite the fact Delaney is a RB - this is because he will almost certianly never play consistently again. Is on a month to month contract until he proves his fitness, but even if he gets fit, I'd be amazed if you got, say, 10 games out of him on a two year contract.
  21. He's a really excellent player, but he is *never* fit, so therefore a total waste of time. We've all been saying we have no RB at the club, even though Delaney is one, such is our conviction he'll never play again, and if he does, it will be one or two games and he'll break down again. He's our only RB and is on a month by month contract to give him a chance to prove his fitness.
  22. According to Celtic supporters, he was like this every single window with them - having them in kittens until the last minute, then doing all his business then. One said to expect Sky to have a helicopter covering the procession of agents cars to VP on the last day of the window Good, now we'll have Jaaskelainen, a RB and a right side midfielder, too please.
  23. I can not believe what is happening at Villa. In defence we have: - No RB at all - One LB, no cover - Only two GKs, and the only half decent one is injured for a month at least. We have no third choice keeper. - 4 CBs, including one of whom is excellent but incredibly injury prone, one who is an inexperienced kid, and another who is on the downward slope of his career ... and we're selling Liam Ridgewell to our vile local neighbours. What the FUCK is going on?
  24. You mean the same James Milner who was seen on the verge of tears in our training ground car park when he got the call from Fat Freddie telling him his transfer was off? As Baron Von Thingy said, the playing for the shirt thing is largely an anachronism these days. I can think of a few Man United players who do, and maybe Gerrard and Carragher at Liverpool, but then again it is easy playing for the shirt when you're winning things. These days the major thing footballers give a shit about is themselves. Anything else comes a distant second. Observe the serial badge kisser Frank Lampard who will doubtless be off if he doesn't get pay parity with the other badge kisser John Terry.
