Why o why would you do that to yourself? I've made a concerted effort this season in trying to convince my 9 year old son that he should support NUFC by experiencing various atmospheres (the derby, away games etc). At 3-0 down today he wanted to leave. It feels like I'm doing entirely the wrong thing tbf but I'm from Newcastle and all of my family bleed B&W even though we don't live in the NE anymore. My view is that you've got to endure the hardships to enjoy the success should it ever come. I ruined my nephew early on, he was NUFC mad for a few years. Now he basically couldn't give a shit about football and he's still only 13. I dare say NUFC singlehandedly made a footy mad kid hate the sport before he was even started He used to play footy saying he wanted to play for NUFC when he grew up. Last year he quit his team and told me he wouldn't really want to play with the people involved at Newcastle anyway.

Honestly, our only hope is that when we face any of the remaining teams they'll be safe/qualified for what they want to qualify for so perhaps, just perhaps, they got their minds set on where they're going on holiday.
