He's a young defender that had a bad time at a laughably incompetent football club, I won't hold it against him too much given his record in Spain's youth system. Some people that know what they're doing obviously think he has talent.

I can't handle the money in the game these days. Clubs seems so susceptible to hype, spend a season saying a player is amazing and worth £30m and someone will come along and pay it. We should try it with Colback as an experiment, bring back the ginger Pirlo hype.

If Rafa wants him to stay then on this occasion he is simply wrong.

He's a great talent whose progress has stalled for some reason. I'm pretty sure one of the bigger clubs will fancy their chances of getting more out of him. It's stalled because he's not an intelligent player IMO, I can see one of the big clubs taking a punt on him but I don't think he will succeed with them.

Barkley isn't good enough for the starting XI of anyone above Everton IMO. That doesn't mean one of them won't spaff some money on him though.
