  1. A managers job depends on how the players perform, he has every right to have a say in the recruitment process. He shouldn't have come back under this system then.
  2. No they're not, transfers are a small part of what being a manager is about. As far as i'm aware they weren't locking him out of the training ground. They undermined him. Dennis Wise is not a qualified enough person to make signings for Kevin Keegan to say the least, Keegan rightly does not want that, its a simple choice, and Wise is the choice. I agree, but on the other hand Keegan should never have come back under this system, he knows how it works as he was a DOF himself. To put ALL of the blame on Ashley and co is ridiculous, Keegan played his part.

  4. Then everyone will say he's either not doing enough, or that he's a liar.
  5. I don't know if i'll be happy or embarrassed if he comes back.
  6. I don't blame them. The latest overreaction from the fans makes us look like an impossible club to run, if i were Ambani i would probably steer clear aswell.
  7. Spot on, why the hell should fans just accept being shafted by the likes of Ashley and Wise ? Who said you should accept it? The point some people are making is that the last thing the club needs is more drama, protesting will do the club no good at all and it won't make a difference to Ashley selling, only money will. If you don't make a protest then you are just accepting any shi-te Wise and Ashley come out with. If you do make a protest then you're wasting your time and creating more bad publicity for the club. The choice is yours.
  8. They're just mindlessly naming Wise's mates at this stage, i don't believe for a second that Ince is an option.

  10. If the new guy gets results straight away then i'm sure people will calm down, if he doesn't though i'm sure they will create more drama for the club. Some people seem to be revelling in it.
  11. I would be over the moon with Zico, he is a manager on the up with ambition and likes to play good football. Plus he will have the profile to attract players and keep players here. You can't hire Poyet when men like Zico and Terim are interested.
  12. Told you I'm still an amateur on here! *Sits in corner* I'll try again.... From an outsider looking in, Faith Terim, a volatile manager who would want control over things is exactly the sort of manager Newcastle would not want. Surely stability is the key? (Though whether this is the system's fault is another debate). Has Terim had much success when there were big expectations, or with a big club in a big league? Apologies if I'm wrong, just from an outsider's perspective, it'd be a baffling appointment. Stability with who? An amateur like Poyet or Zola? I'd rather take a risk on Terim or Deschamps.
  13. Sven only recently took a job, he isn't going to leave it for us.
  14. Maybe not, but then i'm pretty sure Guthrie was Keegans signing aswell.
  15. Exactly. Do they all employ DOF with zero experience of the job or standing in the game too? Alot of them yes. Aulas at Lyon buys all the players, as does Moratti at Inter, same with the chap at Juve. I think the owners buy the players at Galatasary and Fenerbahce aswell. Atleast Wise actually has a background in football, that's more than alot of these guys.
  16. The DOF system really isn't that shocking to people outside Britain. As far as i know most clubs in France, Germany, Turkey, and Italy use it.
  17. Just because a manager has clashed with DOF's in other countries, it doesn't mean he is against the system and it doesn't mean he won't think it can work with our lot. You can't just rule managers out for clashing with a board.
  18. Don't the owners buy all the players in Turkey? Zico nudge nudge.

    Hull...Protest?

If we have a new manager i'd rather people just welcomed him and got behind the team. We've had enough drama. I know this won't happen though.
  20. Ditto. I've been quite impressed by who they've brought in this summer, they just didn't bring in enough of them in the end.
  21. Managers that have jobs won't leave in september, so for me it seems Deschamps and Zico are the only attractive options.
