Pleased for Sorensen as his career looked buried. was average in the dutch second division and then ended up in the Danish third divison so good to see him making a comeback.

For me he's the youngster that stood out the most in pre-season, from those who were in the reserves last season. intresting to see how he will develop.

He had some good spells with us, even got an England call up and was the England U-21 captain at some point, his luck with injuries was bad though.

For me i would agree with Daryl Murphy as even i forgot about him until i saw his name on the third page of this thread, he did exactly the job we bought him for and left. Danny Guthrie did quite well for us in the championship and in the season we've finished 5th under Pardew too.

I clearly recall just how hopeless Obertan was, seemed to make the wrong decision every time he had the ball. Mike Williamson was once so bad in a game i was attending even our fans were booing his every touch, think it was the beginning of the end for him. Special mention to Striker Joelinton, absolutely useless during that time.

Miggy comes back and right away stinks up the whole team.
