At the right price Wissa makes a lot of sense. Our strengths suit his game and he’s PL proven.

Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

I get that but they’d be missing out on their 1st choice & potentially open the door to another cartel club making that club stronger. Unless Isak stays with us beyond this season I don’t understand what their strategy. -

Surely if Liverpool sign Ekitike they’re putting themselves out of contention to bid for Isak next season? They’d be better off letting us sign Ekitike in the hope we’re more open to Isak offers next season? -

Have Frankfurt already got a replacement agreed (supposedly)? They must have some kind of say in all of this. Can they wait for Liverpool to make an actual bid or for them to continue try to fuck around with us to sell them Isak? Said it before; let’s get a bid and terms accepted and make Liverpool show their cards. If we’ve got PSR headroom and don’t lose a purple, either outcome is good. Liverpool paying 80M or more on a player they don’t really want or seeing him improve us gets my approval. -

Has agent Osula temporarily left the Training Camp yet; that’s when to get excited. -
Isak’s movement is absolutely sublime. He sees the trajectory of cross, he knows Murphy is behind him & he steps back into a pocket of space inviting Murphy to head the ball into. Most strikers wouldn’t see or make that movement, it was top notch. Great by Murphy btw to see it and make the header.

Good luck Sean, not sure how some Saudi side have missed out on a 30M player in his prime?

We should agree a price for Ekitike, instalments and all. Call Liverpool’s bluff; so long as it doesn’t force us into a PSR sale of a “purple” we’re good. Let’s see if Liverpool then sign a player they don’t want and potentially put them out of any Isak bidding next year. -
We should get the message to Ekitike that Liverpool are simply using him as leverage over Isak. At the same time get in Isak’s ear that Lpool are acting like cunts, ‘cos that’s what they are and how does he fancy playing with Gordon, Elanga & possibly Ekitike this year. Have a git big screen of his goals against that lot in the background while discussing it.

Great message for Ekitike; NUFC won’t sell us Isak so we’ll bid for you out of spite. -
No, Sean is quicker than Bruno, I know Matty has gone but I struggled to think of anyone slower, maybe Ruddy. Take a football away from Bruno and he’s an uncoordinated mess. Can’t even throw a dart.
-
Only Matty Longstaff is slower than Bruno over the first 10 yards. He can’t run or shoot, pretty amazing how he overcomes these obstacles.

Big if, but I’d take this as a sign that if we don’t kick on that we will listen to offers for Isak next season. Especially if this boy signs and hits the ground running. Selling Isak next season would open up a world of transfer possibilities. It’s all a game and we have to play it. -
MGW will seriously affect Maddison’s game time.

Agree and Phillips would be best placed as the foil for the “target” man. In that role, Beardsley is out on his own. It’s as though they’ve not watched the likes of Rob Lee play. They pretty much agree that Lee Clark was absolutely fantastic for them, he was better for us but had to move to get game time as he had Lee & Batty ahead of him. There’s another one; Batty, a better player in the role he played than Sunderland have had in the Premier League.

Don’t clubs have to submit earnings by 31 March? That would include pre season and the winter window but not prize money as no competitions will have been decided? From what I can see it’s the clubs that have been close to PSR breaches that are the clubs that are haggling over payment terms & the final few million in a 50M + deal. We made an absolute dog’s dinner of it last time & can’t let that happen again. It would be lovely to get a Willock or a Longstaff off the books to get us increased headroom (Targett and Dubs as well please).
-
I’d imagine most clubs know where they are PSR wise and an extra 5M here or there will ruin their wider strategy.
-
Phillips would be lucky to get in the match day squad. There’s not a single Sunderland player who’d you start. That’s not being biased, we’ve just had better players, a quick look at the tables tells its own story.

Was a foul for the 2nd goal but VAR kinda bottled it. Fuck knows what Bronze was doing.

The pub literally next door is decent enough and you can pop out at the interval as well. We had a pizza fairly close by; couldn’t tell you the name; it was ok. If you’re parking at the multi storey and walk to the Empire passed the church, there’s an Indian on your right. It looked busy; I’d suggest ringing any place in advance. If you are parking at the multi storey, leave the theatre as soon as you can and try and park on the ground level.

Splashing the cash like confetti; thought that wasn’t allowed. These money clubs hoovering up all the talent. Better get their Passports renewed and get that pop up club tent back up at that airport they own.
-
He clearly didn’t want to come here, think he’d have chosen any London club over us. We absolutely must only sign players who want to be here and embrace Eddie and the club. It’s a huge disadvantage and it won’t change, certainly not in the short/ medium term. As for Chelsea; they’re just playing to a different set of rules to everyone else.

His injury record suggests that his hamstrings are pretty much fucked and you can’t play him in consecutive games without risking losing him for 2 or 3 months. Be interesting to see where he goes and what’s expected of him.
