Where was this ambition? We were up against an Arsenal team that had a few missing, had Debuchy at CB alongside Mertersacker (sic) and we just didn't set up to get at them. I'd said beforehand that we'd miss Sissoko's breaking forward with the ball but, my god, it was so much worse than I'd feared. Tiote was woeful, his distribution was non existant. Dummett was badly exposed at full back and throughout the team we simply weren't at the races. The sad thing is that the Arsenal fans feared the worst, I have mates (Ncle fans living down there but with Arsenal season tickets) and they've said that any team pressing Arsenal will cause them problems and even in our game when we scored their fans were genuinely worried. I have to say that standing in the Away End I felt we'd lost as soon as they hit the bar as the marking was so sloppy. On the way back to the tube afterwards there was a group of Arsenal fans standing across the road with a bloody big Thanks For The Memories flag and despite the result there's a good chunk of them wanting Wenger out regardless. We missed an opportunity yesterday. What's worse is that we didn't give it a go. Ambition, yeah, that's what the problem was.

We were woeful today and the away support caught a right dose of apathy - very quiet in our end

U21's 2 up
-
U21's just scored a pen, goalie got a yellow for a clear red

I'm down for this game, will make sure I've had a few beforehand cos I can see us conceding at least 3 whilst offering nowt in return.

Shit Colo had a good few nightmares there for that goal

Will be a huge miss next week, his ball carrying on the counter attack will leave a huge gap in our options.
-
When he got himself sent off he was in the middle of a stupid spell, he'd just wound Drogba up by clown kicking the ball away with his wrong foot (not shown on motd), it was like he'd just had an extra hit of acid.
-
First 20 minutes he was a liability Chelsea got in behind his half arsed tracking back at least 4 times, he needs to massively improve his awareness of what's going on around him.
-
He did well all things considered. He got cleaned out with their first ball into the box (which Atkinson thought was fine) and that may have caused him to stay on his line a bit too much.

Mourinho owned tactically by Pardiola. Are the media picking up on Perez's progress over there? The boys got talent, very good feet and works his socks off. He'll move on from us too soon.

I have no doubt that Fat Sam was taking us down. It was daylight robbery that we had that many points, there were a good many games where we nicked points late on. I've not looked these up but if someone wants to I think it'll be almost double figures. I've had a quick look, we collected 13 points from goals scored from the 86th minute onward, that includes 2 against a very unlucky Everton, a winner against an equally unlucky Wigan, last minute winners against the giants that are Birmingham and Fulham and an undeserved home draw with Derby where iirc Barnes was the best player on the pitch. Defeats included the embarrassment that was Pompey at home. Performances were awful and we were going down under the useless twat.

After the first 20 mins I thought Pools would win comfortably.

Get in

Don't thick Phil Neville realises that the whole of the ball includes the full circumference.

Sadly, it looks like he doesn't have it in him to be the professional he needs to be and you have to ask how much he actually loves being a footballer. There's no doubt he loves doing the entertaining but if that's it he'll end up in the Middle East. Hauled off after 30 mins or so at he weekend and looking at the Hull forums there's a lot of unhappy punters with both him and Brucie. Nightmare move.
