Hopefully our recent form will help attract potential targets. We’ve shown what can happen with fairly minimal investment (in terms of playing time). We appear to have the right management in place and if we identify players with the right attitude we can certainly challenge top 8 next season. Mad really. We really have got under the skin of Everton fans mind. GOT is awash with posters asking why anyone would want to live in the NE of England. One post asked why anyone would live in a shithole like Cramlington when they could live in Cheshire? Have to admit, I’m sick of bumping into Miggy in Manor Walks on his way out of Poundland. It would do Everton good to spend a season in The Championship.

Fantastic last night. That pass to Almiron was a technical master class. I’m in the Milburn Gallowgate End and could see from there the care and thought put in to slice the pass into Almiron’s path. It was a thing of absolute beauty. Great finish by Miggy but it’s the pass that will stay with me longer.

That thrown in decision gets worse ?, didn’t realise that the Lino got it right leaving the West Brom players so out of position when the ref gave it the other way.

Crouch was ok, he had a lot less bulk but he was all elbows and refs loved giving free kicks against him. Unfairly quite often.

It’s the timing of his jumps that’s amiss. He can volley a ball, head and direct it from a standing position but once once he has to jump there’s little control. They must do training drills and take videos, they could also get a specialised coach in. There’s no doubt natural ability helps but he has timing in other areas. I do think it’s an area we could look in his game and break it down in a “scientific” way to help him understand what’s going on. What’s Fab doing these days?

His timing for heading the ball looks wrong; you’d think it could be coached into him. He hasn’t a lot of spring and he doesn’t hang in the air making timing everything for him. There was a far post header in the 2nd half where he jumped far too early and headed the ball on his way down. it’s a reason why he (and Wood is also guilty) doesn’t generate much power when they have to jump to head the ball. He’s got huge thighs on him and he struggles to get off the ground.

Perhaps a couple of flags showing the league table after Bruce’s last game 3pts and 19th place to where we are now together with flag of Eddie and a few words about a new start/ hope and the future. Everyone had us down, that Bruce was doing just fine and we more or less just had to accept our lot. I think a little reminder of what has been achieved is warranted.
