Agree - very poor fitness levels and lots of injuries indicate a poorly-trained squad. We've never had so may injuries as last season as far as I can recall ; as for the cups being a distraction, back in 75-76 we reached the LCF at Wembley and the FA Cup Qtrs, even though we were hit with flu and had a fixture congestion piling up. The flu virus affected us far more than playing lots of games and I reckon Pardew's preparation fpr pre-season and maintaining fitness levels throughout the season has been suspect to say the least. We had Duncan French overseeing strength and conditioning at the club during the 11/12 season and we picked up very few injuries. He leaves his post, we don't appear to have adequately replaced him and suddenly our injury list is once again horrific. Coincidence?

Why is no one questioning whether it is actually Sgt Slaughter in that photo? His hat covers his face, it could be anybody. He's the imposter in my eyes.

But the commentary. The best commentary I've ever listened to.

Rather upset that we don't have one. Be great to see some asshole dressed up as a cartoon Magpie harassing the opposition. http://www.nufc.co.uk/javaImages/56/27/0,,10278~9512790,00.jpg f***ing Yanks pretending Monty and Maggie don't exist, man. I hate the new Monty/Maggie. The old ones were way better.

Shirts only half tucked in as well, adds to the hilarity somehow.

Tony Cascarino is a champion bullshitter.

When did he start wearing Asics boots? I'm confused.

Just fell over.

That Spain shirt is awful. Is it meant to look like they're wearing medals aroung their neck?
-
FWIW I'm coming from the angle that they could do much better. Carrick - Kagawa will probably see them through the PL regardless. This was my point as well.
-
I don't think he's good enough for Man Utd anyway.
-
That's still an awful kit imo. Hate it when they cut the three stripes short as well.

Bloke's a fucking idiot.

It's like watching us. How is Pearce still in a job? He's a negative, uninspiring dinosaur.
-
Wonder how much they've lost because of that?
-
It's incredibly difficult to get anywhere near excited for this when you remember Pearce is still managing the Under 21s.

Rubbish. He's shown his ability since the age of 18, and he walked onto the pitch against one of the top 10 teams in Europe and was immediately the best player on the pitch. The boy is a workhorse. Pardew tried to turn him into artist because we lack creativity. Look at the man, the sheer pace and power, the will, the rage. Do you look at someone like that and tell them to play a position where they need to be patient and precise? Sissoko has the talent for it and posses those attributes, but it's limiting for him. He played too far up the pitch in a team that was broken, and I thought he still was an important player for the team and one of our better performers. People have been on a crusade to denigrate our players lately, I don't understand some of it. There are differences between playing below the standard you've set over 5+ years and simply being inadequate. Quality.

Shola pulls it off. Someone needs to have a word with Gosling and Perch, possibly Elliott as well.
-
As if people need a reason to nail Bellamy this coming season. He's providing the ammo left right and centre releasing this right now. Hope he gets what's coming to him. Little hunchbacked prick.
-
Graeme, you soured all of our experiences of watching Newcastle United, nevermind it 'soured' your experience of management.

Cut the man some slack. He broke his leg at Wembley. Have some fucking respect.
