I am hoping that as he appears to be being openly snubbed by Capello, that he wants to prove a point and score some goals in the games that remain for us. I want him to have the attitude that "my goals will save this club and show the England Manager what I can do".

Our problem is the negativity around the whole club. Generally, the clubs that pull away are the ones that are able to show unity, togetherness and a combined fighting spirit. I dont think out club has any of those qualities and the management are doing nothing to try and develop it - bar saying "we have faith in kinnear/hughton" and assuming that will be enough.

llambias could quash this rumour dead tomorrow with a quick statement to the chronicle.

Only time can tell whether the scouting network the club has is any good. Probably anyone can set up a network of contacts. What abilities these contacts have is anyones guess.

It is just awful and to think it will/could get a shit load worse over the next 2 months. I can see if being bad for years. I really cant think how long it might take us to recover from this mis-management. Ashley is never going to be able to sell us so I can see us being under his "guidance" for a few years yet

Problem is, over what time frame is this going to happen. Certainly not over 1,2,3,4 or 5 seasons in my opinion Man U got very lucky once and uncovered 5 or 6 all within the same youth team. The chances of the same thing happening to NUFC are negligible at best. More likely never to happen. The chances of us developing even 1 good young starlet are tiny at the minute given the management and coaching set up Ashley has chosen to employ. So for me, all sides of the club are going down the toilet
