Don't think it was that bad, Brentford are pressing hard and playing the game at 300mph so we're having to play hot potato to try and keep the ball, its not pretty but if we try and slow the game down or take extra touches they're on us. It's not going to be pretty but its been comfortable and I think we'll see it out.

Great finish by Barnes, lovely move to get it up there

I should know better but I am expecting a big response to the previous malaise of away days, this is the kind of game we need to be picking up full points in if we want to finish in the CL places again, we've already dropped too many on the road that we should have won. I'm going 0-2

A midfield pairing of James Perch and Vernon Anita wouldn't keep him out the team

No doubting his quality, can't lie, Sunderland got a coup there but he couldn't lace Tonali's boots these days.

If you want to be the best or at least eat at the same table then you have to keep your talismans, look at Liverpool and Salah, City and players like De Bruyne, even Man United and Fernandez, you keep your best until you outgrow them or they no longer offer you their best. I get that players come and go and you just have to enjoy them in the now but if we ever want to take that step up then we have to keep hold of the ones that will get us there and accepting Tonali will leave this summer or next is cuck behaviour.

Every one of our starting 11 would be their best ever player in their respective positions like, they don't even deserve to have the name Tonali on their lips, never mind try and compare him to any of their players, living or dead, its not even a contest.

With Gordon carrying a knock i think he starts on the bench at best, hopefully we have Hall and Livramento on the bench for this too. I think it'll be Murphy and Barnes either side of big Nick, Ramsey, Tonali and Bruno in midfield and a back 4 of Tripps, Botman, Thiaw and Burn with Hall and Livramento to come on late on and Elanga, Miley as options for CM and Gordon if Woltemade needs a rest late on in the game.

It definitely wasn't as hard as he intended it to be, yeah

I think the full backs will make a big difference when we come back, two more ball playing players on the pitch that can be an option to keep the ball higher up and provide that extra width will make a huge difference. Wissa will also be another option that makes a big difference when we do win the ball back in situations, as good as big Nick is, his main ability is getting other players in goal scoring positions with his quick feet and accurate passing, but the wingers arent taking advantage of that. We miss the goals that the rat used to score on the shoulder of defenders, Wissa will give us that option back where everyone else has failed.

It's pretty obvious that after the nuclear levels of injuries we suffered in our last Champions League season that Howe has us conserving energy instead of turning up the tempo when we have the lead, our incessant pressing in the previous campaign has devastating effects on the squad.
-
No real excuse for today but the lack of decent options at wing back is definitely affecting our style, seems like we're always waiting for the next international break to get going again. I do think Wissa, Hall and Livramento are huge misses for us, especially Wissa, I love Woltemade but hes not a 9. Having said that, watch us demolish Bilbao midweek and look a completely different team again.

Turned this off, absolutely rage inducing tripe

This is horrific

Howe will have a plan to double up on Bowen, he won't leave Burn isolated, I wouldn't worry too much mate
-
Are there any Portuguese people left that haven't managed Wolves?
-
My Liverpool supporting mate (yeah, I know) absolutely hates him but at the same time wishes that they had him. He's a monster, a wrecking ball of a player, but he's our wrecking ball. He keeps opposition players on their toes and forces them into mistakes when he comes barrelling towards (through) them.

0-2 Woltemade, Murphy
