Younger (ok by a couple of months) than the alternative and would take no time to adapt whilst also being a current England International & club captain. I'm not saying he's a world beater but I think last season he proved he was at least worth the odd start and definitely a good enough squad member. It's good to hear someone having their season wrote off after playing 30 minutes in our first game before he was taken off because we went down to 10 men and also after an away game against a team we've struggled against in recent years.

Ugarte couldn't get a game for PSG at the end of last season, they looked much better with him out of the team with Vitinha & Fabian Ruiz starting. Man Utd once again spending very big on players who can't get into the team of clubs they should be challenging with, see De Ligt.

Looks more than a bit draft on Palace & Parish if this does end up going through, all the TV time last week and Guehi doing interviews when he clearly wants away.

Out of interest, when was the last time he played on the right side? With Kelly, Botman & Burn we're pretty well stocked with left sided central defenders which is a bit of an anomaly.

Not saying Cherki couldn’t turn into something but if he’s available for the £12m that they’ve apparently bid you probably should ask why no other higher rated PL team is in for him. They either don’t feel he’s ready or don’t feel he’s good enough, it’s not like they’re signing up from some far flung universe, clubs will have scouts watching Lyon most weeks.

They've sold their best player & they've arguably been the easiest team to play against in the league for the last few season. They've got absolutely nothing about them.
