An idea that has Mourinho's name all over it.

Was it Fleetwood who beat them at home the other year and who have the Captain Pugwash theme as goal music?
-
Other than the fact they're full-time paid professionals so will have better fitness levels, I do wonder what the real difference in quality is between them and a non-league side. Some of the first touches and short-passing is of kids Sunday league standard.

Conspiracy theorists dusting down their keyboards.

Just seen that. Nee chance

Howe said the other week he'll be sitting down with Schär's agent soon. He wants to keep him.

Hahaha Donny Van De Beek? Played like he was on the beak, didn't he? But no, seriously, we need players up for the fight we're in.

"Hahaha it's not the first time I've come to Tottenham and been stuffed, there's a lovely curry house on Seven Sisters Road. But no, seriously, that performnce tonight wasn't good enough and we need to take a look at ourselves"

This is enough to make your heart go wooah-ooah-oaah indeed. But not in a good way.

Five fucking nil

They're really reminding me of 2009 and 2016 us.

Your centre halves are still too deep, Frank. Push them up further please.

Pickford. North London liberal elite sticking it to Tory Frank. Lovely.

Me every time I get to watch Michael Keane live

I’d blissfully forgotten about his existence, so thanks for that!

Nah I don’t wish them ill or owt, but I wouldn’t be sad to see them go. Hayden, as you say, seems a decent lad and has been a good servant but is hugely limited in his ability. The same goes for Almiron. It’s always felt like as a club we’ve hung onto players who aren’t up for it for too long when we need to be more ruthless. I’d be trying to get shot of Murphy, Ritchie, Dummett and Gillespie too while we’re on.
-
Wouldn’t miss any of them. Tbh, all of them leaving would help reinforce the feeling we’re an ambitious club on the up.

Thanks both

Is it only on YouTube? Got a lengthy drive later so might stick it on if there’s an audio-only version.

While I’ve no doubt Keane is passionate and has firm views on modern day football and today’s footballers, the penny dropped with me that his grumpiness is somewhat put on when I saw him in that SkyBet advert - the one where he goes to Craven Cottage. It’s exactly the sort of thing his personality and temperament would have you believe he’d never take part in, but there we go. Presumably money talks.

This trend of apologising for anything slightly negative has to stop like.
-
What's the gut feeling though? What, specifically, have you seen - even in the slightest - that makes feel he'll fail? I have a gut feeling Jonjo Shelvey could be sent off in any game. It's only happened once this season, but it's at least based on the odd poorly mistimed tackle. Personally, I've not seen owt in what we've seen of Bruno so far to give me a similar feeling of him failing.

Is that the first time Arsenal haven’t done something typically Arsenal, as far as we’re concerned at least?

Aye, can't fault the role he played in that first goal. However looking at his build and what you expect from him, it's just not there. We weren't looking for someone to break through with pace - it just needed to be held and he should be able to do that. In all honesty, Joelinton up top would've done a better job in that regard, so long he had Willock and ASM offering support. -

The ball just doesn't stick to him. Think how much Rondon was able to hold it up, for example. He's a mile off. Would've been so, so beneficial today to have someone capable of holding the ball up to give us an outlet and take the pressure off. Dunk and Duffy won nearly everything against him and owt that fell his way required an immediate lay-off.
