What about the, "it is a fact that..." statement, which went down like a lead balloon? That statement never clarified the main issue here - IS IT FACT DENNIS WISE DOES HAVE FINAL SAY ON BUYING PLAYERS ON OCCASIONS OR NOT? Although it very strongly hinted that is the case, by saying its a fact Keegan had agreed to this set up, and Keegan had agreed not to talk transfers to the press etc. But then that brings around the whole point of the damn thing - Ashley & Wise have lied to the fans, and seemingly KK, by saying at the time Keegan does have final say on players. It that wasnt the case, they could have simply put IT IS A FACT DENNIS WISE DOES NOT HAVE FINAL SAY ON PLAYERS on their pathetic statement, but they didnt.

As pointed out earlier in the thread, Wise undermined Keegan. Wise seemingly brought certain players to the club, who Keegan didn't choose to bring. I thought Wise wasn't responsible for first team recruitment? That word was not used, or meant literally, when Wise came in. He came in to advise Keegan of players he had been watching around Europe - a scout basically, but also bringing in Academy lads. Not to bring in first team players behind Keegans back. Keegans position from then on is untenable.

No they're not, transfers are a small part of what being a manager is about. As far as i'm aware they weren't locking him out of the training ground. They undermined him. Dennis Wise is not a qualified enough person to make signings for Kevin Keegan to say the least, Keegan rightly does not want that, its a simple choice, and Wise is the choice. I agree, but on the other hand Keegan should never have come back under this system, he knows how it works as he was a DOF himself. To put ALL of the blame on Ashley and co is ridiculous, Keegan played his part. "My job is to scout the world and recommend players to Kevin, Kevin makes the signings, he has the final say" ... Deadline day comes & 2 players are brought in that Keegan did not want. Lied to, under-mined, Wise should pay for it. But even after this disgrace, he is chosen over Keegan. Words cant do it anymore...

Dennis Wise & Derek Llambias are stopping Kevin Keegan from bieng our manager. Take a step back and read that sentance again. What an utter shambolic, disgusting, unholy disgrace.

Yep. In terms of statements to Ashley: 40,000 would be better than 50,000 30,000 would be better than 40,000 Any kind of drop that isnt the norm would be more powerful than any chanting. A drop in attendance with banners draped outside the stadium (as well as protests outside); a message sent to Ashley via his customers, and a message sent to Ashley via the media (attendance coverage & banners coverage).

Wasn't Bobby Robson Director of Football for a season at Barcelona, where his role was to sign players? Recommend players.

Why? Would you have sacked Keegan after the Arsenal game?

We've still got almost an entire season to play. You're happy for us to drop points and edge towards relegation I take it? As long as they're forced out and have no chance to recover from their mistakes... The next few weeks of matches hardly bare much significance in the grand scheme of things. It might not seem like that but, they dont. The priory must be imo for the fans to show in every way possible, and relentlessley, that we want Ashley & co out. What is football about? Wheres the romance? Is it purley a business? Are we all fans so we can have look at nice stats about net spend etc, no I cant think about a replacement, and cant bare Ashley & co bieng here any longer... It is an extreme example I will admit but who are you to say those points don't matter - what if end up getting relegated with the difference between us and the team above being only a point or two? That would set the club back more than this debacle has. You're the one not looking at the bigger picture... I can understand you wanting Ashley out but not at the expense of the club appointing another manager. I don't know why you'd not want both to happen if possible. Imo the whole board are a con, and Nufc are discredited a fair bit as long as theyre their. And its just my opinion that a game or two of boycotting would not send us into relegation & we have good enough players to stay up. I didn't say anything about boycotting. I just find it hard to grasp that some of our fans don't care about who replaces Keegan, especially given that we've got a season to play. I just find it very hard to think past the hopeful removal of Ashley & think that we the fans have more power than we potentially realise, just my opinion like. No offense - and you're totally entitled to your opinion, don't get me wrong - but how many fan protests (not just at this club) have ultimately been successful in achieving their aim/s? Not many - because theyre nearly always not powerful enough. The anger is on quite a scale compared to a lot of things in past football potentially anyway lik,e but say if most fans boycotted the hull game, even for the 1st half, imagine it? Just imagine that message, and power & threat it would carry? Like I said, the anger of this issue might take any protests to a new level anyway, but I know your right it isnt easy, but its something thats shouldnt be under-estimated.

Aye this is my stance, I would rather we sorted out a quality manager than sit and HOPE Ashley f***s off any time soon. Just my opinion, but we the fans have more power than to just sit & hope for it. If that's the case then why did it take years to get rid of Shepherd? Or Villa even longer to shift Ellis? The only way to get anyone out will be for someone else to come along with the sort of money they're looking for, and no amount of online petitions or facebook pages will change that Just gotta hope that he decides to take up any offer that comes his way instead of declining/touts the club around for anyone interested, something he might have done originally. Like you said, will anyone come along? Its not exactly a rarity in the PL right now I'd say that.

Just my opinion, but we the fans have more power than to just sit & hope for it. Hopefully, won't get my hopes up though. Just do what you feel would help contribute forcing him out, and do it relentlessley (weather it be chanting/banner protesting (inside the found or outside)/getting the word out about sports direct/merchandise etc).

Thing is, if we do appoint someone, whoever it is, Dennis Wise is still in charge really. We're not going to appoint a manager.

Same.

Is it for sure he will be in charge v Hull?
-
Imo The big picture tells you - the next few games dont bare much relevance in terms of the Ashley situation. We boycott Hull game - there is only 20,000 max there, we lose, it puts Ashley in such a predicament. It backs him in a corner, & is the most ultimate 'we will not accept you here' ever. We lose (?potenitally), Ashleys position is pretty much untenable after losing so many customers, chances of him selling rocket, and potentially a take over happens. Massive lift for everyone, and weve got good enough players to kick on from there. Bloody hell man, look at our start under Allardyce, looking good, unbeaten, but look how it ended. I understand everyone POV though, its a hard situation. You wanna get behind the players aswell, and maybe show defiance in a different way. And maybe it will work. Imo Nufc lose a fair bit of credibility as long as they are there.

Bugger a replacement, we simply need to force them out before its possible. Not even contemplating one (apart from the obvious).
-
It doesn't really matter what they've said in interviews, it's what is in his contract that he's signed that will matter in court which is where this is likely to go. So they really are slimy b*stards
-
A bucket load of 'FACT... ' banners please... Utter, utter shambles, get the f*ck out the club.
-
Bob, you seriously don't believe that do you, honestly? If anything I think KK wanted the best of both worlds, he was very complimentary about Jonas et al and seemed excited about the kind of talent the new set-up could find him, while I'm sure he'd have liked some of his own targets brought in but I don't for one minute think that included Henry, Lampard and Ronaldinho, players he actually laughed at at the end of last season as dreamworld signings and that fans should not expect such players. Again it points to the sale of Milner for me. I was exaggerating to make a point. To put it better - Keegan wanted ready made players with an established reputation. The Board were looking at players that could be developed. To make a bit of ££ when selling them on? Its cynical, but 'cynical' really does seem to read 'truthful' now.

People we really need to be relentless in getting these lying con men out, we really do. At some point maybe 'acceptance' potentially kicks in, but that is simply not an option, we have the power, and we need to stand up big time for what is right.
