  1. Like Ive said, we need to play LuaLua & Troisi, and Edgar would be worth a go. LuaLua & Triosi look positive players, willing to run at players & try and make things happen. They havent been through the crap of this seaon, and wont have it playing on their minds during the game. Edgar would be eager to prove himself and has shown plenty of promose when played.
  2. These are the players who have got us in this position. Milner to an extent which is harsh because he has done well a for periods this season, but just got dragged down in the crap around him. We need to change the team. LuaLua & Triosi need to play, fresh, young, hungry players. They simply cant do any worse than the players who have got us in this position.
  3. In the words of Detective Flores in the movie 'Fracture', "the gun, its no good."
  4. ________________Harper_________________ Beye_______Cacapa____Edgar________Enrique Troisi_______LuaLua____Faye_______NZogbia ___________Owen_____Martins___________ Bench Given Taylor Milner Emre Viduka
  5. Theres a lot of players that need shipping out in the summer & he's one of them.
  6. Who do you suggest plays instead? Enrique, Emre, Faye & Viduka would be a start. Theres no harm at all in playing LuaLua too.
  7. Thank God! I really cant understand why KK wanted Shearer for a coaching role, it would inevietably turn into an awkward situation, the speculation of 'Shearer waiting in the wings to take Keegans job', imagine if we start to do badly, the spot light would turn onto Shearer about stepping up to manager, imagine some fans chanting "Shearer" if we are doing badly, with KK standing on the touch-line... Its just too desperate trying to get Shearer in, whatever the role, if he comes back then its as manager coming back from the outside. That could have possibly been this season, but it wasnt, end of story, move on.
  8. How can you say that we were simply 'ok' in the first half & say your not really, really negative?
  9. At least try for the likes of Morinho! Instead of Redknapp bieng the first choice. He's a good manager but it looks a bit desparate, we might aswell have kept Allardyce.
  10. Why the hell did we sack Sam at this stage in the season hoping that Harry Redknapp would take the job! What a mess Mort & Ashley have created with this.
  11. 7 million or so a year would ease the terrible pain. Its not like most managers need the money though is it?
  12. I can see the idea of Shearer beign manager. Theres something to be discovered there, the respect he'd command & how it could bring everyone together. He'd hardly be defensive imo after saying how the fans dont like the way Big Sam plays his football plenty in the media. And he would be so determined nothing or nobody tarnishes his 'perfect' repuation with the fans.
  13. We'd still be lacking in creativity, his game is mainly breaking teams down, reading the game, but good on the ball & full of energy.

    Alan Smith

He hasn't had a decent run upfront yet, NM. Played well with Martins against Arsenal. & vs Everton.
  15. Quality player, although I reckon the plan would be for him to be at RB until Beye returns. A lot of harsh comments on Butt tho imo.
  16. At least Shearer was strong in the air & a threat at set pieces.

    Duff

Duff was definetely better today, looked good on the right, positive and tried to make things happen.
  18. Hi Timnufc22, I sit in the middle of the Gallowgate & he has looked s**** from where I am sitting so if you want to swap seats drop me a PM before the next home game. I would mate but it seems singing in the Gallowgate End in bared these days so al have to pass But fair enough its your opinion, for me he works his socks off and is a quality ball winner. He's been made to look poor at times because he's having to try and be the playmaker at the same time, which isnt his game, imo.
  19. But he dosent. He does nothing apart from wait for a chance laid on a plate. common myth tbh, he's lost his pace but he's effective dropping deep and linking up play, very rarely wastes the ball Obviously when all he does is lay the ball off 5 yards. What exactly does he do thats effective when dropping deep, what link up play do you mean? I dont see any clever passes, one-two's, any skill. He can be neat & tidy and thats where it ends really, like a lot of strikers in the league.
  20. Nicky Butts a good player & has done really well for us this season just like last imo. Hes just never been given a proper partner, someone to push forward next to him. He gives quality protection to the defence, grit & determination in abundance, and a cool head.
  21. What does it matter who's foot the ball came from when he missed a tap in from 3 yards (today) & a one-on-one with the keeper (man city) etc? Does it suddenly not count as a chance he should have scored? Its fair do's not bieng the most deadly ever if he caused other problems and had skillful link up play. But he dosent. He does nothing apart from wait for a chance laid on a plate. But thats the problem, its not like he the amazing finisher he's hyped up to be.
