  1. Yep. Mickey mouse tastic. f****** knew it, shocking that like Damn right it is, ffs sake man. Its that daft stupid 'if the kids are united' song aswell, just bloody play local hero instead of that crap, cringeworthy.
  2. Yup, its so good to finally have experiened defenders. Capaca looks brilliant and with his leadership skills he needs to be the first centre half on the teamsheet. Its who partners him, and Rozenhal has earned that place, He's looked very solid. Its harsh on Taylor but its a harsh business, you have to bit the bullet and pick the the best team. Its all good because its healthy competition and he needs that, it will only help him.
  3. Capaca looked top top class, we have always wanted an experienced quality centre half who leads by example and it looks like we have finally got that. We should bite the bullet and drop Taylor, as harsh as it would be on him, and play Capaca & Rozenhal in the middle, imo. Looking at it on paper those two are the best on books I reckon and would make the best partnership, good ages 31 & 27 and for once we'd have two experienced defenders in the middle instead of 'potential'. Its all good, its the point of having a squad with regards to Taylor, it wont do him any harm having to fight for his place having competition. Enrique looked talented, good to see him get 90minutes, hopefully he can feel at home. Just thank god weve got a new LB! But if Big Sam reckons he can start playing him from the off in the Premiership now then hopefully it free's N'Zogbia up to move into midfield. Thought Butt was quality when he came on, for me he's one of the first names on the teamsheet, he is our best combative defense midfielder imo, big player for us. Great to see Martins come on and scre, and to see Owen score too - Im not his biggest fan but he looked canny, its down to Sam to take his pick now. For me, Martins deserves the shirt, although I wouldnt be against trying them together. Atmosphere wise, bloody brilliant. It was superb in the corner, great noise and great to see a lot of player songs getting aired, new ones too. Class Geordie welcome for Enrique, would of appriciated those songs for him. The stewards started walking up again during the second half and with the inevitable 'stand up if you love the Toon', the rest of the corner going along into the east stand and the Gallowgate all rose, belting it out, joining in. Very encouraging and superb stuff to see the crowd united, thats exactly the aim. Half the crowd on their feet making a point that the stewards are only going to destroy the atmosphere.
  4. He should be bombing into the box much more and we havent seen it.
  5. Milner & Geremi were poor, Butt did well sweeping up defensively, but Smith & Geremi didnt do much at all, didnt see either one of them bombing into the box. Play Capaca & Rozenhal and get them going as a partnership.
  6. Very true, great players are able to give more to the team than just be a goal poacher. He dosent give anything else, dosent run at players anymore, isnt skillful on the ball, no left foot, not a presence up-front, a very limited footballer and it should have been worked on a long time ago to bring him to life more, he plays like a 33 year old, he's bloody 27.
  7. Cult Hero Sibi. Big welcome back when he plays down here, worked his socks off along with a lot of quality to his game.

  9. United Front or Toon Fanatics.
  10. The atmosphere was embarassing under Robson and genuinly has been since the extension bar against the big teams.
  11. Here bloody here. Is he shagging someone at Sky... he is never off the bloody screen He is the understudy/right-hand man to Andy Gray & Richard Keys and a class pundit cant you see! Comes out with same crappy cliches and drivel about 'J fucking T' and strecthing it out as far as possbile. He must think he's an enthusiastic, superb pundit when what he is is an annoying twat who shags the big players.
  12. Gallowgate End, give us a song... ci? its called the first home game of the season, the idea is to support the team through the 90 minutes? But nar I'll sit on my arse arms folded and be as quick as anything to be vocally negatively . A bit of positive noise is too much to ask for, even if it dosent cost a penny to just use your bloody lungs. Fact is you cant change people really, there can be as much build up/hype/positive talk about a better atmosphere as you want but at the end of the day its not going to change anything. To change the atmosphere the club have to bite the bullet and have the seating arrangements changed. It was an average performance but I just cant believe how flat the place was especially considering its the first home game. Is it really such a hard task to be positive for the 90 minutes, do people not want to help lift the players?? But again, you cant change people. Bloody booing, who the fuck would want to be the team off yest? How sad. But its a total culture of impatience in football which has been getting worse and worse. Demanding instance success, not forgiving any stumbles along the way, not really with the lads but demanding 5-0. Take the spurs fans, booing their players during the time, crisis time, total panic etc, then beating Derby and everything is so rosy 'Jol give us a wave', well bloody cheers its all good and well sticking with me and praising me when were winning, but a bit of togertherness and support during tough times would be a bit more appriated and make the good times a lot of satisfying!
  13. I don't think anyone disagrees with you right there regarding the tactics. Yes we were set up differently to what we've been used to, and certainly differently to what would be ideal with the players we have. However, Allardyce is clearly still testing things out (as its different in competitive conditions), and is trying to learn as much about his players as possible (esp before the window shuts), without having to compromise results (namely defeat). Allardyce has said it himself, that he will be after results this season, and it is results only that will keep him his job. Any points picked up from any game, home or away, will do me personally. We will not be in Europe for playing attractive fluent football. We will get into Europe by collecting enough points to put us in a higher position than our closest rivals. As it stands, the longer we go unbeaten, the better. Tactics and best formations will follow. I'm not one to talk as I do not live in the UK, and dont attend matches, but I must say, the performance of the home crowd (for a first home game of the season) was rather underwhelming! Had the tv turned up to max and heard f*** all bar the odd shouts at Howard Webb. And don;t even get me started on the booing. As fans in the collective sense, we really have become an embarrassment at home, and home advantage is no longer that for the team. So people shouldn't be surprised we cant find that bit of extra push to beat teams like Villa at "home". *tin hat donned Absolutely spot on. Seconded.
  14. N'Zogbia & Milner on the wings at home for me most times. Martins & Viduka upfront and I'd switch Geremi to RB keeping Butt in the centre when Barton returns.
  15. Dyer & Jenas are the only ones I'd boo/give stick. How can anyone forgive Dyer for his 2 goal-line 'clearences' alone? And Jenas pranced about happy to play within himself hardly busting a gut in his last 2 years. Bowyer, Bramble, Sibierski, Parker all gave everything regardless of whether they had good games/bad games.
  16. Edgar looks the most promosing for me, Huntington dosent look too great imo
  17. Good point, seemed to be well up on the Parker stuff, wasn't that the game Carr and he had a rick with fans? Can't quite remember. The atmosphere thing was probably part of his game plan... Massive point. I cant for the life of me understand when fans start constantly whinging through the game getting on our own players back when you are playing into the oppositions hands! Managers will come to SJP and to to their players 'get the crowd edgy, get them nervous, force them to play it back and feed off the negative atmosphere' and we play right into it! Yes its not the be all and end all for the opposition but it damn well helps, helps them play with more confidence and freedom and they sense the Newcastle players getting nervous. But if there was constant support throught the 90 minutes it'd make it much harder for the opposition and indimidating for them, not us! And by consatnt support I mean at least allow the players play with maximum freedom, not afraid to make a pass due to fear of the wrath of the crowd, if you dont nessicarly sing songs.
  18. Its about the impatience during the 90 minutes, not the attendance. It didnt really do much when we finished 3rd & 4th so Im not expecting it to be superb this season, but Im hoping so, especially with new owners, new start etc.
  19. He's spot on & speaks the truth. For such a long time now Im at a match and cant believe the panic that sets into some supporters because we are playing poorly, and question their motives. Bottom line your either with the lads or your not. If you are, you wouldnt start shouting abuse when a player makes a bad pass or give knee-jerk reactions to results. But a lot of people seem to go enjoy going to the match to have a whinge, they must feel big. Well done, your big mate, you called lept out your seat and shouted how s*** Martins is supposedly, thats very big of you, give yourself a pat on the back on the way home. SBR deserved to see out his last year, but part of the reason he went was the panic that set in around the place. If everyone had sat back, realised that you know what, things arnt that bad and gave SBR the send off he deserved in his last year Shpeherd wouldnt have went against the fans and sacked him, but it was made easy for him because of the fans leaving a near-empty season on the lap of honour for finishing fifth.
  20. Disrupting flow of game/causing unrest in home ends and winding down the clock. We were 3-1 up and comfortable, if they were allowed to build any momentum however, things could have become extremely uncomfortable. He did what I'm in no doubt was expected of him, from the bench. To go and jump all over Faye and be a complete nuisance in the most crudest of ways. Its a fair point like. But at the same time, youve gotta question why the hell cant he bust a gut more when running-jogging, altho thats the point, its not running, he just jogs. Im not saying why isnt he fast, but simply when have you seen him actually sprint?? I backed his case for a while personally and thought he got unfair stick to begin with, but he has had so many chances to shine since bieng here and hasnt taken them, he's been so poor for so long now imo, its crazy he's still here. Never seen Viduka sprint... I think people are being extremely harsh here, he came on for a few minutes, he's hardly figured in pre-season and hasn't played much football at all for more than 6 months, and people expect a player who isn't quick to start with, to start sprinting about chasing things? He's been like it long before his injury, he spends more time on the floor. He's basically went back-wards imo, I remember when he played some games under SBR when we finished third and he was a much better player and got too much stick then. But like I said, hes went backwards imo.
