  1. Some prick from NOTW's just been on SSN saying Shearer's more than likely to go to WBA. One of his main arguments was that he doesn't think Shearer would necessarily be the right man and that you need an experienced man to get you out of the Championship. Okay then, if that's the case why the fuck would WBA offer him a job? Correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't they get relegated too? Honestly, how these fuckers get paid to spout this shite baffles me. It's not only a case of other people disproving their crap, they contradict their own argument in the very same statement. Twats the lot of them.
  2. This is a fucking joke. Only it's not funny.
  3. The biggest case of this in recent times with a player has to be Alan Smith. Played for Leeds, professed his love for them and while playing for them went on record and said the one team he would never, ever play for was ManUre. No sooner had they been relegated his transfer request was in and his destination..... So Smith to Sunderland then eh?
  4. From The News Of The World.... what a fucking comic. Newcastle boss is wanted by West Brom TONY MOWBRAY - doubts By DAVID HARRISON, 06/06/2009 ALAN SHEARER is ready to quit Newcastle and take over at West Brom. The Toon manager's relationship with the club has reached breaking point after owner Mike Ashley put the club up for sale after they had crashed out of the Premier League. And, last night, Shearer emerged as the shock favourite to replace Baggies boss Tony Mowbray, who is expected to move to Celtic this week. Once Mowbray's departure is confirmed, negotiations will begin with the Shearer camp. And Sport Of The World can reveal that the former England striker will listen favourably to any offer. The Toon legend has been left frustrated by Newcastle's failure to confirm him as manager and give him the time and resources to revive the club's fortunes. Two rival consortiums are interested in taking over Newcastle but any sale won't be concluded until July - after Newcastle's players return for pre-season training. A source close to Shearer said: "The delay is damaging. It has been frustrating for Alan. He will not commit career suicide."
  5. What say does Shearer have in the matter? IF he had a say in the matter, and lets hope he will, very soon Shearer's ran away on Holiday, so if anything bad happens like selling our best players for fuk all he cannot be blamed. I expect a big clearout of all the players we'd like to keep for sod all in the next week or so Shearer's on holiday. I think he's supposed to back on Monday, so not enough time to get rid of the bunch of mercenaries we have on our books.
  6. I know it's not really about loyalty , but now not only is Redknapp in the papers every day giving his opinion on everything that doesn't concern him, he's also telling us who Liverpool have been putting bids in for. This arrogant prick thinks he's running the FA, UEFA, FIFA and probably the fucking world by the end of the day. Suffice to say, i'm not his biggest fan.
  7. He can fuck right off... SUNDERLAND boss Steve Bruce wants to take Newcastle’s Sebastien Bassong to Wearside. The Black Cats are also ready to hijack a deal for United’s top summer transfer target, Norway international midfielder Per Ciljan Skjelbred. Bruce is a big fan of Newcastle’s star defender Bassong, who was the pick of the United defence – and arguably their team – last season. Bassong is set to leave St James’s Park this summer in the wake of the Magpies’ relegation, and Bruce has joined the queue of Premier League clubs who are tracking the 23-year-old Frenchman. Bruce had also been linked with a raid on his former club Wigan for ex-Newcastle defender Titus Bramble to bolster the Sunderland defence, but Bassong is his preferred target. He is also interested in signing Skjelbred from Norwegian side Rosenborg. Newcastle had lined up a £5m deal to bring the 21-year-old – who grew up supporting the Magpies – to Tyneside, but that move has been thrown into doubt by relegation and the financial squeeze which goes with it. The Wearsiders could profit from that by putting together their own bid for Skjelbred. If Newcastle appoint a manager and scrape together the cash, Skjelbred could find himself with a choice between playing in the Championship with his boyhood idols or the Premier League with Sunderland. Skjelbred was offered the chance to join Liverpool's youth set-up as a teenager but opted for Rosenborg instead, and he has had experience of playing in the Champions League with the Norwegian giants. Taken from tonights Chronicle.
  8. Then again, there's more chance of us winning the Champions League this season.
  9. Of course the most obvious thing to do, in respect to seeing if Barton is genuinely sorry for his actions and does in fact feel some responsibility for our relegation and again, genuinely wants to help us back up, is to take a 50% wage cut and prove he means what he says. The same can be said of Smith and the likes. By the way i'm not saying i want Smith and co. to stay, i would just like them to back up their words with some actions (for once).
  10. Isn't £40M just the annual amount required to service the debt, which is more like £350M and overdue ? I thought Ashley paid off the debt and it was just a 100m interest free loan to him personally, which he is (allegedly) willing to forget about in order to shift the club.
  11. I'm sure i read when "the clubs for sale" story broke, that the banks decision was crucial in selling the club ie. It's a much more attractive proposition with the financial structure in a more sound position. Maybe if we get some good news today then it might have a snowball effect on the selling of the club. (Finger's crossed smiley thingy).
  12. As i've said before in another post, it pisses me off when i hear of journalists/other teams fans harping on about how it's all our fault that the clubs in such a mess. If we voice our opinons... it's our own fault. If we say nothing and take all the shit that's served up to us.... it's our own fault. Damned if we do, damned if we don't. It seems to me as if the journo's and other sets of supporters just can't seem to stop talking about us. Not bad for a small little club that nobody but us cares about eh?

    The Villa

To be fair, if we were going to lose i would rather lose 4-3 than 1-0, it's better for the goal difference (goals scored and all that).
  14. To be honest i thought Harper was at fault for the goal yesterday. Not for the shot itself (i don't think any keeper would have gotten that), but leading up to the goal Harper thew a shite ball out to Lovenkrands who then lost it which led to cross in the box which Harper (if he had shouted) should have caught easily, but instead Butt headed it out for a corner. I shit you not i turned to my mate just before they took that corner and said they'll score form this now. And low and behold..... Sorry, thanks for the loyal service etc. etc but the time has come for new blood.
  15. Thanks. Oh that's all right then, as long as it's a huge disappointment (understatement of the fucking century dipshit), and you feel sorry for fat bastard Mike then it's alright. I can't stand this fucking twat. One of the most destructive appointments the club has ever made.
  16. Fuck me, has there ever been a more depressing thread. Not only the threat of relegation, but now the holocaust. Thanks for cheering me up.
  17. For all i might not agree 100% with the way the protesters went about it, in all fairness you can't blame them for the predicament we're in. Let's be honest, if the fans just went on taking all the shite that is thrown at us and say nothing, then everyone would just say we deserve what we get because we sat back and said nothing. The bottom line is various contributors, but ultimately... Ashley.
  18. I never thought i'd see the day when i would genuinely be rooting for Chelski and Man U. It's the weirdest thing in the world to feel guilt, disgust and apprehension all at once.
  19. Ashley 100%. Whilst others may have contributed to our predicament, it ultimately was Ashley who put them there.
  20. There are three things i would like to see happen. 1. Shearer signs a permanent contract. 2. Ashley sells up (preferably for a loss giving the buyer hopefully more money to invest in the team). 3. Most of the current squad are sold/let go. I'm to pissed/pissed off to go into more detail right now.
  21. Also, if we beat Fulham we'll more than likely be above the Makems. (Not counting our chickens like).
  22. Problem is although when he's played he's looked better than the shower of shite we have playing in midfield, he hasn't been pulling up any trees either though. Plus he hasn't, through injury or stupidness, played nearly enough games. Throw in the fact that he (as others before him) have dragged the clubs name through the gutter ever since he's been here, the time has come to get rid. Get whatever money we can, get his ridiculously high non value for money wages off the clubs bill and hopefully get a couple of hungry young players in. We've all got to have a dream don't we?
  23. You'd think so. But we'll need to win the Boro and Fulham games to have any real chance of finishing above Sunderland, not going to happen sadly Don't get me wrong i know we've been shite this season, but if you don't think we have any chance of beating Smogs or Fulham at home then to me that suggests we don't even belong in the Championship 'cause even half of them would fancy their chances at home (fair enough Fulham are half decent but howay).
